This season we've been bailed out by Clarke more than we've won games by being the better side.

What's ridiculous is your absolute refusal to hear anything that's not comically positive about the club, to the point where you're arguing that day is night and black is white.
We haven't been bailed out by Clarke more than we have won games by been the better side at all. Clarke's job is to create and score goals. Doesn't mean we have been bailed out by him, most of the games we have won we have deserved to win

Suppose whoever we get in this week will be able to go straight into the squad for Sunday.

interesting to see if we got Moore if he’d go straight in.
Whoever we get has to be ready to go from day 1. We can't have anymore of these signings where they haven't played or trained in 6 months. That was why I was against M'Vila signing.
If it's Moore then he goes straight on the bench on Sunday for me.

Amad liked a post about wasting his time at united or something last night then unliked it
As much as I'd love him back here I just cannot see it happening. After Garnacho and Antony they have no other wide players. Rashford is in the bad books, Martial is out for the season and they sold Sancho.
It'll be like Simms at Everton last year - kicking his heels on the bench getting 5 mins here and there

I think you’re right but they did bring on the young lad yesterday for Antony and left Diallo on the bench.

Aye, we're playing as well as Liverpool then.
You are a hard fella to work out Exile, and not wanting to cross purpose threads but you will almost always look for positives when talking politics about the conservatives but seem to genuinely look for negatives about the club you support. That to me seems to be a juxtaposition within your nature or maybe I am reading you wrong here.
If on the footballing side you mean we often play well for a few games and then lose a game we really thinknwe should win I would agree but as has been mentioned over and over we are a young squad and consistency will be the key to our season.
If that was your point then Smug may have agreed in the most but to reference that how you did he is quite correct to point out the successes of the club lately and to call you wrong IMO.
Trying to spin your way out of that may feel good but does not take away your poor initial statent and subsequent stubbornness. All you had to say was yeah sorry meant this or that. But I guess you are learning from the political party you support.

Definitely rant Owa today <cheers>

I don’t like bringing politics into football forums but a Tory and an SAFC basher - that tells me enough for me to make a judgement about someone.

I look for logical explanations. It's the only way to make decisions that aren't influenced by emotion and therefore most likely to eliminate inherent bias. Nothing more or less. More of a dog in the fight when it comes to Sunderland.

I don't support any political party. None of them are worth my support. I've made that clear multiple times but it suits other posters agendas to repeatedly claim I'm a Tory like that somehow wins the discussion. They're the one party I've never voted for, ironically.

We've played poorly compared to last season and won an awful lot, it's just a fact.

Perhaps you should wait for the person themselves to clarify their position before judging.

And consider that those posters are deliberately trying to bring politics into football because they can't win the argument on footballing terms. My political views are in the post above.

I don't think its possible to judge someone on who they vote for. I think that is a dangerous and inaccurate road to go down.

See, I try to look for logical explanations too. In most of the recent criticism of the club, logic brings me to the conclusion that it has been an overreaction.
