Just watched a couple of youtube videos of him (I know, I know) and he was playing centre back for Leeds in pre-season. Looks composed and tidy from that extremely limited viewing.

Looks from his body shape and composure to be more of a left sided centre back than a left back to me at least.
He plays cb for the norway u21 side at times, when i saw him at ross county he was a cb and theh started playing lb at leeds. Got high upside in my eyes and its a very sensible deal considering our injury issues at fullback

Makes a lot of sense. Desperate for a left back at the moment. If he turns out not good enough then you’d hope cirkin and alese sort their injury problems and we have two solid LB options anyways, important to get some balance back on both sides by bringing Hume back over the RB

Are these clubs giving us their good young players because they’re crocks, or is it something we are doing at the club?

I think there could be an element of that in certain players but for others it’s just a no brainer for them to sell to us if we’re offering higher sell on clauses rather than them continually loaning them out and paying their wages which obviously count toward FFP.

That’s the way I see it anyway. Take Clarke for instance, if he’s on £20k a week at spurs that’s £1m on their annual wage bill contributed toward their FFP. If they loan him out they’ll still pay a % of that whereas if they “cut their losses” early and sell him for a small fee they get a quick bump toward their revenue, his wages are off their bill and they profit if he moves on again for a big fee.

Seems like a good signing although know little about him

Just so we are keeping score - it was Alan Nixon yesterday who broke this. (Nixon knows out n all).
Have to question future of Cirkin, alese. Can't have three left backs on books. Not all potential starters anyway. Both are excellent but just seem beset by injuries

I think this lad is seen as a centre back long term. Similar to Seelt he's starting out at full back. To get experience but will move inside.

I could see a scenario where our centre back pairing in a couple of years is Seelt at RCB and Alese or Hjelde at LCB. All of them been playing predominantly at full back to get experience.

Ornstein says Moore is likely to leave Bournemouth before the end of the window. Us, Ipswich and Cardiff all making loan offers…

Sounds a promising signing. Guessing the club have a list of players they are tracking and if one comes up for sale in any position then they will get them in, regardless of the short term need for that position.

They could always loan out any 3rd 4th choice players not getting a look in.
