Thought potential signings (Jude aside) might have been at the match today. Could have been but not outed yet.

Fully on team Pritch here, he’s been messed around by “the model” aka Speakman.

He’s not the first and won’t be the last.

Don’t want to dwell on it too much as it was a good win today but that’s my thoughts anyways.
Not sure how anyone can be on Pritchard's side after refusing to put on the shirt whilst under contract.

To be honest, the clubs negativity towards the fans is my bug bear.
We know if we put out a stronger team for this league, plus the fl
a) No, he's trying to run the club sustainably so we're not reliant on a sugar daddy in the form of billionaire (look what happened with the last billionaire) or an oil-rich state with a PR problem.

b) That's why we're investing in youth and trying to make a name as a club who will develop young players.

c) It's got us quite a long way from where we were when he arrived

d) It is sustainable (at least in theory), that's the point of it.

e) what do you mean it's not sustainable for Sunderland fans? It's either sustainable or its not. I'm a Sunderland fan and I think its a great idea

f) what's wrong with that? Our (the collective we, obvs) money is running the club so 'we' have more of a connection to it. Its not a local club if a foreign billionaire pays foreign mercenaries to come and half-arsedly keep us just above the Premier League relegation zone.
The only note to add to that is that no club has ever been promoted from this division without making a financial loss.
Now, everything is unprecedented until it happens AND we came mightily close last season, but stats are stats.
Surprised at this, I thought Luton had done it last season but TBF haven't looked at their finances

You do know he told the club late Thursday night that he was confused and annoyed that Speakman come out to the public, sang his praises but the offer that he provided was a reduction of terms and only 1 year. That, would mess with anyone's head. So he told them Friday that.

The fact the club then waited until kick off hour to announce is really poor. They have done well making him out to be the bad guy.
Seems to be different information coming out as to what he has been offered. You are saying he has been offered reduced terms yet @Bob the Mackem is saying he was originally offered more then that was changed to his current terms!!
Both can't be right (but both can be wrong) so it will be interesting to see what exactly has been offered.
Anyway, whatever it was, was for next season, so he should have kept playing to fulfill his current contract. Funnily enough, he has playing a lot more for MB than he was for TM.

I know he's young but he needs more game time, the few times we've seen him he hasn't looked out of place, there's no reason he shouldn't be getting game time especially when we keep flogging Jobe even when it's not working
Jobe looked much better today but agreed he has looked jaded for a few weeks. If he starts I think he needs to be looked after and taken off after 60-70 mins. No doubt he is going to be a top player though.

He seems to drift out of games and then his head goes down. I've watched every game both home and away on TV and I've struggled to find him on the pitch at times.

I'm not knocking him as he was very much in the early season games I just feel that for whatever reason he is being managed poorly the last 6-8 games.

**** the politics surrounding his transfer to us and give the lad a rest or risk him breaking down which could finish his " our " season.

I can't imagine other talented 17/18 Yr olds being treated like this and flogged to exhaustion. I can only think of the young centre half we had on loan from Man City who's name escapes me...ah yes it was Doyle !!!
We did similar with Niel in that season, Jobe had a good game today and good to see him come off when tiring to give rigg minutes

What do you think of Pritchard wanting to leave last summer but no one came in for him ?

Nick Barnes just confirmed that on Twitter

Also what is a proper deal, I think an extra year based on his age and output is fair enough
Hes 30 year old mate. I think his output has been brilliant in my opinion.

People are really into slating the club at the moment. They'd side with the ghost of Pol Pot if it went up against Speakman.
I’ve actually been to the killing fields in Cambodia, and had a conversation with one of the survivors of S-21 in Phnom Penh.

What a disgusting thing to say in comparison to football ffs. Have a word with yourself.

Pearl clutching. Nice. Strong move.

So 4 days ago the club made an offer, he didn’t accept and the club have since revised that offer? Not sure what his problem is unless there was a verbal agreement made between both parties on the original offer.
No mate he did accept the new deal, that's why KS said we have a new deal with Alex
