That's what wrong with Britain today. The wealthy thinking its okay to take the piss out of our working class, and their attempts to put a cheap, but hearty, meal on the table for their dependents.

Looks like it needed a stock pot or something. Give it a lift.

Add some red lentils or pearl barley to thicken as well, very nice.

    Very nice

    fried off first?

when using in a curry they need frying off first or they give off a bit of a slimy texture

Afternoon gents.. been a while eh.

Did a slow roasted pork belly at the weekend..

Have also bought a smoker. With which I ruin food in so far..

Wanted to smoke the pork belly in it first but the weather was ****e.

next time I ruin something in the smoker I will take a photo.. bought it the end of the summer used 4 times and ruined everything bar a beer can chicken which turned out undercooked and raw..

The next few items I ruined was a pork shoulder, as tried to be fancy and used cider in the water bath for it and it tasted ****ibg vile. Tried another and over cooked it and didn’t pull. Then ruined quite possibly the biggest beef brisket.. bought cherry wood to smoke it and used too much wood so it was completely over smoked and tasted vile..

Yes learned that a while back, cooked the sauce until ready then fried off the okra and then added for about 5 minutes and added the lemon at the same time which was another trick I found.

partial.. needed half hour in the oven..

Had made herby garlic butter which I let get soft then smothered the chicken in it.. popped a can of beer up its jacksy any popped it in the smoker.. used Jack Daniels’s smoking chips and some birch wood for smoke.. over some Japanese charcoal.
