Ok, so here's a hypothetical question. There have been rumours that Will Still was the club's first choice. What do people think Will Still would have done differently to Michael Beale? Bearing in mind that Still would have had exactly the same set of players.
What I find interesting is that both Neil and Mowbray ended up booting off about the model and it meant they left. Beale has been here 2 minutes and is already saying the same.
It's been a pretty quiet window all round, Amad is stopping at Man Utd I believe as they want to give him games
Absolutely.... Its pretty clear to the lads I sit with that Beale is already ,especially after Fridays performance, finished.. If Beale didn't know beforehand when the crowd ,who lets be fair have witnessed more **** managers than most, started sacked in the morning, then he should know by Monday mornings training session..
His team should do the talking on the pitch, but that not happening, l question spending my money watching that football, take for example, Ba at Ipswich, he had a decent game, beating his man regularly, but could only pass back, or drive on and shoot. Wasn't in the staring 11 next game, how does that work when you have no other wide player available? Ba, must of been right pissed off. Has Beale assessed that he not good enough? This may apply to Rusyn, did he have anything on Friday to feet, or in the channels, all he had were scrapes to feed off. Or is that the model, whether it Beale or the model, it is not working now
Clough had actually already won things before the Leeds fiasco. Can't compare with this clown we have masquerading as a football manager.
I had never heard of Still until TM was sacked if I’m honest, for once it would be nice if we could take a good up and coming coach from a team doing well and just pay the compensation, think the chuckle brothers tried it with Jack Ross and it almost paid off. Even now looking at out of work coaches we could show significant ambition with Cooper or unrealistically Potter, there is no reason why a club of our size couldn’t attract both but ultimately it comes down to ambition and money. I think that’s why we ended up with Beale, cheap and available for nowt
Been going since the 1970s and I've never known the crowd to turn so quickly - they always get a fair chance. This is the exception because its so obviously a woeful decision. Imo.
So, how do you know what Beale's man management skills are like? We've heard that players liked his sessions
How would he have gotten on at Leeds had he stayed? Players downed tools, no money to do a wholesale change. It's not like he walked into another big job either. He ended up at Brighton.
Worked at one big club as the manager and failed massively, he was hated at Rangers by players & supporters. He might be a great No2, not disputing that. Like a lot of the players we sign we can’t afford to wait for him to come good, we need someone to make an impact now or the season is gone
I agree, it's beginning to look like he's better suited to being a number 2. I don't think you can say he failed massively at Rangers though and I'm sure it had been said that the players hating him wasn't accurate. Even if he did fail there, it doesn't mean that his reputation within the game was affected. For example, despite what happened here, at la Real, and at Man Utd, David Moyes reputation amongst other managers at that level didn't drop and he's proved his ability at West Ham. It's an interesting point about waiting for players to come good. If the squad isn't ready for this level, it's going to be the coach that people blame.
Moyes ( shudder ) had about 20 years managerial experience before he tipped up and destroyed the club, Beale has nothing like that kind of experience, anyway I’m stopping now coz it feels like Im vilifying my club all the time and I really don’t like doing it. I’ve made my point enough times now and need to wind my neck in. I would love nothing more than to come back on here in a months time and eat humble pie.
Not what a young group need, an experienced balanced coach like TM worked well, this just looks to be a cheap option. Early interview he said something along the lines of "everything is going OK here, good young squad and I'll be introducing my style and tweaks to get results. WE HAVE GONE BACKWARDS - everything about the club is a flat as I can remember in last 6-7 year. Based on his first few games the responsible person in charge of the footballing side should have massive alarm bells ringing, unless your KS. Fans have turned inside of 4 home games which is telling......... The banner I saw yesterday at the Palace match could also apply to us!
Been reading a few comments on social media which is really toxic and to be honest way over the top.. I assume club officials and players must see these and it makes me wonder if this current situation has gone past the point of no return… it has that feel at the minute
I think he'd have imposed his style of play on the side. We really needed someone to come in and be positive but Beale either hasn't been inclined to change or hasn't been able to get across what he wants effectively. Can anyone tell me what Beale's style of play is?
He has no reputation in the game as manager/HC. He hasn't managed any club for a full season. He has a record that is very mediocre at best and really bad at rangers and was getting steadily worse. That's why he was such an unpopular appointment. He's now stinking the place out here and it's what most of us expected tbh.
