Aye. It's all of that. Hunger. Instinct. Ability. Looking like a bit of a headcase can only get you so far.
Lack of striker instinct for me. He’s not finding the right space; is often half a yard from where he needs to be to score and has this innate ability to hit the ‘keeper when shooting.
Lacking the natural instinct to find the positions or make the runs. Having said that, we have some of the worst crossing I have ever witnessed. Corners should be taken off Paal as he can't beat the man at the front post. Smyth is great until the final product and his cross could go literally anywhere!. Chairs crossing usually comes in after the striker(s) have made their 4th or 5th run!!! So in fairness to dykes, who is being deployed in the no.10 role at the minute, he isn't exactly used to quality deliveries.
Maybe having his eye lids tattooed with eyes open may worry the defenders a bit more
