Post wasn't specifically directed at you Roly (Had to check I never replied to one of your posts for a second there. I was meaning in general.

Seeing an awful lot of negativity surrounding tactics, recruitment, injuries, accounts, training, squad selection etc.

Seems to be an awful lot of critics who make lots of complaints and raise lots of questions without delving deeper and perhaps offering realistic solutions.

A lot of it strikes me as impatience and spoilt bastard's syndrome.

No, that definitely could be aimed at me. Not all of it - 40% growth two years straight is exceptional. Injuries Howe carries a part of the blame, for being so rigid early in the season. Tactics, we just seem to do the same thing every week. Sometimes it works but is it really a huge coincidence that we’ve gone on this very poor run? Or have teams wised up to closing Bruno, playing in the hole where we never have a DM, advancing into midfield because we don’t have a CAM either, and so on. Just observing, Howe clearly knows more than I ever will but he cannot be beyond reproach.

I hated the recruitment. When the team is as average as ours, you don’t buy subs and kids, you strengthen the first XI. Just like every aspirational club does. I don’t know what we were thinking.

Solitions - change the role of Bruno, get someone to sit particularly when teams have dangerous attackers. Prioritise strengthening the first XI particularly in very weak positions like RW, LB and RCB. Maybe work on something new. As has been said, why didn’t we go to 5 at the back today? Why was KDB given even more freedom than we offered Foden, who is watching the match and not seeing these problems? Dummett is an excellent man marker, why not just be destructive to get a point?

Personally I feel Howe is in a rut and from his time at Bournemouth his answer was always to just play the same way and hope they get out of it. He seems stuck and idea-less.

Chelsea and Liverpool are keen on 26-year-old Newcastle United and Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

More bullshit but if he keeps getting memtioned he could get his head turned.
If it’s in Spanish press maybe it’s to try and get the Spanish teams interested in him? Ie agent spreading rumours to force the move?!

They'll all be interested in him he's a top player amd last night miley was the only one with him....the guy manages to run games next to longstaff and a 17 year old sometimes.

Linked with this player and it's fair to say he's better than Sean Longstaff I bet ... 30 million the suggested price.

I'm still hopeful of something happening this month because the champions league and sponsorship from adidas wasn't in the report.

Ultimately its not long until next season which will see things kick on a bit.

I think there'll be a lot of reticence about spending this month. Eddie's going to have been saying behind closed doors "all my players are injured, otherwise we'd be top 4 again" and what would a board do? Call him a liar, or see if he can get us out of this rut without spunking another £100m (something people seem to overlook when praising EH for our great escape a couple of years ago)?

I have a feeling the next 4 months is basically one long test for EH. With an easing schedule and players returning, what excuses will be left? Each FA Cup game will feel huge and he's got to start getting points without having to rely on the opposition missing chances or having players sent off.

Really? What makes you suggest we’re not going to pick up points? We’ve just narrowly lost to the best team in the world when we have only half a squad. The players currently missing would see us in the top 4

Agree with the Ponytail.

I don’t think locally that some people are giving credit to Man City for how well they played or for the quality and impact that KDB had and made when he came on. Imagine the best, or at least one of the best, players coming on with 20 minutes to go against a tiring team with no genuine options off the bench.
