Ok. I’m surprised some of this hasn’t been mentioned already but here goes:
We took an age to get our first shot on target (over 50 mins). This is a serious problem. From minute 55ish, we played good, attacking football. That is simply not good enough at home.
Time and time again we are too slow to get into the game.
I now genuinely think Rosenior is delusional if he thinks that was good enough. It wasn’t. The fact that Sharp hardly got a touch says it all.
Twine started well. But then rapidly went downhill. Those who say he had a great game - he did some good stuff, but made A LOT of mistakes. Yet it was still one of his best games for us. Again, says it all.
There’s a lot of blame going on the defence. I don’t agree with it. They didn’t have that many clear cut chances and their second goal fell nicely.
The attacking play is where we are at fault. I’ll say it again, it shouldn’t take more than half the game to get a shot on target. We are too slow. We play pretty football that is easy on the eye, but it lacks any threat. I think Evington said something like this earlier.
We lack bravery and we really miss Delap/Philogene to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
