Mowbray really starting to annoy me. First it was slagging the club off to Bernie Slaven, now he's saying stuff like this in the media. He knew the role when he was appointed and he had no complaints when he was winning games, only started whinging when his tactical stubbornness was costing us games. Not surprised we gave him no input in signings when the signing he does make in Dack is an overweight, injury prone waste of a wage. We were running at 1.42 PPG with Mowbray, without him we are up at 1.85. Pretty clear who the problem was and it ain't the recruitment.

That's the annoying thing with both him and Neil. I liked both of them and was disappointed when they both left but they both knew their role and how the club worked when they took the job yet were quick enough to whinge about it when things weren't going right and after they left.

So it seems most of us on here are ok with selling JC if we can get around 18m after the sell on paid off.

I think we should try Adil as a replacement or give Bennette a proper run before spending loads on a replacement. Problem is if JC does go and it's near the end of the window then we might not have time to replace him so will have to try others already here.

We’d have to sell Clarke for north of 20.

Be used by dickheads to slate the club of course but be Insanity to refuse

Still under contract for a while so can’t see us accepting less than 20. It’s the very least he is worth and I wouldn’t even be discussing with clubs until that is made clear.

IF we sold him I’d be investing in a striker first and foremost. That’s easier said than done as decent ones are like hens teeth.

We improved after Neil left and we have improved in the short time since Mowbray was sacked, yet because it's 'Uncle Tony' and he 'gets the club' the decision makers are getting stick for sacking him. Glad to see the back of him.

He did have an input, he said so himself so he is either lying today, or was lying when he said it. And it was pretty well documented by ITK's that Dack was signed to appease Mowbray.

Too right they’re not. It wasn’t too long ago I was as excited to see who we’d managed to get rid of from our over paid group of mercenaries as I was hopeful we’d bring in some quality to replace them. I was usually disappointed as they dug in to see out their over inflated contracts. Much happier with how the club operates now.

I meant in general. Over inflated prices for players that aren't as good as they thkml they are. But yeah, get shot of the ****e, but days when we were signing Bent etc were class. All about Balance.

He is being criticised for saying he had no input. That is fine, criticise away, like you said he knew the job he signed up for. But to then put the Dack signing at his door as a reason as to why he shouldnt have any say, in the next sentence, makes no sense. If you are correct and the club signed Dack to appease Mowbray then in my opinion that makes those above the head coach look weak and innefective. I doubt it was to appease Mowbray at all personally, I think the club are better than that.

All I know for certain is that we are picking up points at a higher rate without him.

Possible his replacement might already be there, just need a run in the team. Adil looks like a player, ba with confidence could become a hell of a player and rusyn played on the left for his previous team.

I'd be disappointed to see him go but confident we would get a replacement and improve the team with the money. Plus I think we'd get good money and a good deal, like we did with Stewart, don't think he'd be going on the cheap.
I hope this is how it works. I dont want to sell to replace, I want to sell and promote from within. Even better it is a lad of the academy conveyor belt.

Watson ready to replace Clarke or too soon? I would hate to sign someone as a Clarke replacement that prevented him getting minutes.

Proof will be in the pudding at Birmingham if he signs whom he wants. As for the quotes, if that want he has said then I'm pretty sure he's breached a none disclosure. I've never known a manager leave a club, get a new club then talk about the one he's just left.

Watson is not far off at all mate. I am a big fan. Would be ideal for me, if Clarke stays to the summer and Watson was then promoted. Same with Neil and Rigg. Timing is everything though and the club have to balance bringing in money at the right time.

At least they waited until they left to moan, Moyes was still here.

I don't really have a problem with Mowbray saying he didn't like working the way the club wanted him to work. There are plenty of managers who would definitely not want to work under those conditions. I can understand that he might have been accepting of it to begin with but gradually found that it wasn't to his liking. That's fine. As long as the next head coach is happy with it.
FWIW, the Dack signing has Mowbray's fingerprints all over it. I don't think the club would have signed him if they weren't happy with it though. I'm sure I remember Speakman saying at one point that the Head Coach did have a say in recruitment, just not sole control of it.

It'll be interesting to see how he does at Birmingham as in my opinion our recruitment made him look a better coach than he actually is
