My tuppence worth is, I don't mind "the model" if we are to buy young lads and develop then into million pounds players but we also need to be successful on the pitch. We're doing that to an extent but it can be erratic at times. For me we need an experienced spine and add the young lads to compliment them and be their legs with the experience to guide them. We've seen with Pritchard how he is the voice on the pitch but imo he can't do it all on his own

Correct me if I'm wrong but his team out there isn't owned by pif/scum is it, if so does that rule out a loan to the gravy stained twots. For what it's worth I called him for his move out there but would have him back here in a heartbeat alongside mvila

In my opinion the Saudis will be ruling football in the next 5year or so.

Defo. Newcastle haven’t won a single game that Bruno Guimaraes hasn’t started. Rodri is a huge influence on City they don’t look the same without him. That position is really key for us to nail down and has to be an experienced player who comes in and one with leadership qualities.

Dont think it needs to be an experienced player, as long as its a player that can hit the ground running. Ideally it would be a ballard type player, someone young but has good experience already.

The key in January is signing players that can hit the ground running whether they are experienced or not. Therefore, i want british players so its quicker for them to settle in. Doesnt have to be someone with 100s of games under their belt as long as they are quality n can contribute now

Moore would be a cracking start

Yeah agree. That's exactly what we need. Unless they fancy giving Matate a run. Which I wouldn't be against.

I dont think matete is up to it, wouldnt be against him getting more minutes tho. I would love rigg to get more minutes, the boy has a huge future n i think its important that we get him game time this yr

We have some exciting young foreign lads imo but we need more of a mix of players for now and ones for the future

Yeah I'd agree. I think I want to see more of Matate but I am not sure the club think he is up to it either. So maybe heads back out the club, on a perm basis.

Agree re Rigg. Needs more minutes to show that he is getting considered and still developing. Other teams will still be on the sniff for him.

Just don’t see a proper leader on that pitch for us to be honest. Not a dig at anyone by any means just think we’ve neglected experience in the spine of the team and that’s the foundation for a good team.

Agree Moore would be a great start, would be nice to get a good DM in anarl

Neil is def a leader but he def needs someone alongside him to free him up. No idea who i want for DM, on wyscout at the minute but the CDMs i have reccomended for my club probably arent suited to the championship

Rigg said this season was just about getting minutes and next season is the one he wants to establish himself in the team. Seems to have his head screwed on. He is one of the highest rated prospects in the whole country

A scout i know said hes one of the best 16 yr olds hes ever scouted - hes been a scout for 20+ yrs n worked for some big clubs so a massive complement

I would like to see him play more just to see how he can handle the pace of the game

Yeah he is think with time he’ll just improve and improve. Captain material for sure. It’s a tough one like, Ipswich seem to have nailed it with Morsy and Luongo. Players that their clubs fans wouldn’t really lose sleep over losing but they’ve been quality this season.

Same, hes such a good finisher that you want him close to goal but got great energy on him

Think he has to be used as an 8 or 10, not against playing him RM as think he could do a job

He cant play the 6 role just yet imo

Wouldn’t be against Joe Rothwell at Bournemouth although seeing his name at a glance sends shivers down my spine

Aye on paper its not a great CM but when you watch them they do so much hard work that frees up their front 4 n fullbacks (especially davis) to cause havoc

They’ve signed Lewis Travis on loan from Blackburn too. Maybe one we should’ve looked at he was their captain too.

My opinion only but he is the most gifted player I have seen come out of our academy / youth teams. He has everything you would want a modern footballer to have. By all accounts attitude and temperament are top class as well. For me he looks a number 8. Has to be in the middle of the park and has energy and can dig a bit. I would happily pay an entrance fee to watch him train. I hope we see a bit more of him second half of the season, perhaps deputising for Jobe every so often.
