If club had proper supervision over the work it doesn't go on the wall in the first place. Would you have looked at it coming out of the wrapping and thought 'nah, it'll be fine'. Please stop trying to blame everyone else for it 'getting out'. Someone at the club - nowhere else, certainly not the fans who said giving them the BCB was a bad idea in the first place - has either approved it or not done their job in supervising it.
It’s now on Sky Sports This is the issue… Sunderland had requested Newcastle run all of the changes to the bar past them ahead of any sign-off, but this had not been completed before pictures of the branding were leaked onto social media on Thursday. http://www.skysports.com/share/13042491
Truthfully, is there anyone on here who was born and raised in Sunderland, who was not furious with yday ? The posts I see, from people, who seem to not be furious, have said they were not raised in Sunderland.
I'm not born and bred in Sunderland....I'm from Consett.....and I was,and still am,absolutely furious with someone at the club for allowing this to happen. Can you imagine Rangers letting green and white hoops in a bar at Ibrox,or Tottenham having Arsenal colours in their place?.....it's unthinkable.
What's your point? I wasn't brought up in Sunderland. I was brought up in the Durham hills. But my dad was brought up in Sunderland, as was my grandfather, his father, and his father, etc. etc. If you're implying that the derby means less to people who weren't brought up in within the boundaries of Sunderland you're talking ****e. I might suggest that the people not going over the top about it are more rational.
Likewise believe it or not Consett born and bred too - now in Whickham (Mag land) and I wasn't overly impressed
I find it interested as I am yet to speak to a person on here or across any social platform, who was born and raised as Sunderland who wasn't furious. Literally wanted to see if there were any, as yet to see a single person. Might provide some actual context to why Sunderland as a community and it's citizens who live and work here are extremely furious.
And it's clearly not five minutes' worth of work putting that up either. They've been left to their own devices for quite a while.
I wasn't born or brought up in Sunderland, does that make me less of a supporter or not as passionate as someone who was born there? In over 60 years supporting them I bet I have contributed to the clubs coffers more than some of you lot who pull the club to pieces at every given opportunity.
Sort of related point...recently @Smug in Boots made a really good observation that those Sundland supporters who work with Mags (live and work in Tyne and Wear maybe?) Are the ones who are most angered by stuff. He never used that word but I think that is sort of relevant to this maybe.
Mate as if a rouge contractor has had free reign in redecorating man. If that was the case the person who didn't complete the due diligence and then supervise the operation should be immediately fired for incompetence. The facts it's all measured perfectly and people were saying this would happen a week ago, to accomade the 600 per ticket, makes this a slam dunk.
No it doesn't. However, again, surely you might consider the citizens of Sunderland and actual mackems, might be insensed by this compared to fans who are not ?
Well yeah that's the point isn't it. If it's your city, your stadium, your people and you work with mags and have that hatred, then yeah, you're going to be more raged. Rightly so. If you live down London and were not born here, follow the club for years , without being offensive, you really won't get the feeling of fans who were born, raised and died in Sunderland.
Are you for ****ing real? I don't think you with your child like response to adverse situations can lecture me on how to respond to difficult issues or to tell me when I should be offended
