Yep. Looks like prime ambush territory for the Suddikers if you ask me. But I'm not on the SAG so don't really give a ****
God knows how it'll go but everything has lined up for us to have the best chance possible. I'm not especially worried.
Honestly I think we are too slow all over the pitch. I agree that the stars are lining up though so fingers crossed lads.
First 20 minutes is key I feel. Hope we don’t just sit in but it’s crucial we don’t concede first/early on.
Totally ambivalent to The Mags now....a few years ago, yes the rivalry was there in spades, however, since they are now state owned by one of the richest countries in the world, the only rival in real terms will be Man City.. These clubs are merely play toys for Oil Sheikhs...the heart and sole has long left both clubs. That said, it will be an interesting game....one which I feel is a free hit for us....if we lose, so what. Not really a level playing field is it
I wont quote all the rest of the hoop licking in The Evening Comical after another defeat for the skunks. But this was the last paragraph Newcastle won't have needed any help coming up with a New Year's resolution; improving that awful away record has to be a priority in 2024. Bottom of the table Sheffield United are the only top-flight side to have picked up fewer points on the road this season and you have to go back to Steve Bruce's time in charge for the last time the black-and-whites were so poor on their travels. Next up? A trip to the Stadium of Light to face bitter rivals Sunderland in the FA Cup. Oh and another part of the article The numbers tell their own story. Dominant Liverpool had 34 efforts, 15 shots on target and more than twice as many corners. With an expected goals figure of 7.27, Liverpool recorded the highest xG total on record in a single Premier League game. That should trouble Newcastle, who have already let in 29 goals, which is nearly as many as the Magpies conceded in the whole of last season (34) on the way to having the meanest defence in the top-flight.
Its The Rebel Forces versus The Death Star The Battle of Yavin, also known as the Battle of the Death Star or the Miracle of Yavin, was a major and decisive battle of the Galactic Civil War, in which the Rebel Alliance was able to destroy the Death Star and was seen as one of the best major victories over the Galactic Empire.
Aye he is decent. Just need to be 100 and run at their poor players at the back. Jack Clarke and Rusyn should give Dan Burn nightmares. The CM battle will be the decider for me.
11 v 11 at the end of the day, no one is expecting anything other than a routine win for Newcastle so we have nothing to lose in reality and everything to gain even in defeat if we manage to show up and compete. Hope the stadium is a cauldron of hate, the fans will be the 12th man and are capable of tipping the balance in this game in pushing the lads to give that extra 5% in the tackle and press. Might be enough to take them, you never know in one of these matches.
