For anyone unsure what attractive attacking football is in this league start watching this Leeds v Ipswich match on now. No messing around in your own half, move the ball forward quickly, what's wrong with that? The most important thing is it works. The latest City matches have been enjoyable to watch and the team is definitely improving but stubborn, overplaying defensive tactics will cost this team a top 6 spot for sure.

What I do like is that Liam has a clear vision and at any stage, totally understands what’s is needed). He knows the team (and he) are ‘work in progress’. Initially, it was tightening up at the back. Once he sorted that out, it laid the foundations for working on us going forward. Then speeding this up. Then creating chances. We seem to be there, but not finishing. That’s why I feel it is such an inspired move bringing in Billy Sharp. With taking more risks to become more attacking, we have become less resolute at the back. So some work at both ends to be done.

First full season in football management and after taking over a team in the relegation places, we sit in the play offs at Christmas. He’s young, sort of one of our own and seen as one of the brightest managers in the league. And yet many still question him. I just don’t get it.
Never has the ‘you can’t please everyone’ ever been so true.

Leicester and Southampton sit in the top 6 and play it slower than us

Jury still out. Yep, undeniably there's progress. And it's great to be sat in a play off place going into the New Year. But for context and perspective ... the comparison given is against the league position after the shambolic Shota period, and with very good further support during 2 more transfer windows since Shota left! Of course there should be significant progress. It's a promising league position for sure, but only TWT.

How can the jury still be out? We've gone from bottom third to top third in 12 months. It's crazy progress, and LR has been a huge success especially when you consider that the squad is still lacking and he's an inexperienced gaffer.

Defo progress, but still a long way to go before we are a “great” team, we need to be more consistent, stop the individual mistakes, concede less and Liam needs to be more flexible in his set up / approach. Although last nights change was a promising sign

Most of this post is quite crazy but this might be the craziest bit.

Do you want him to win the league with 100+ points and 100+ goals while he's at it?

Are you looking for a 5min argument or the full 60 min version?

TBH I don’t a flying **** if you think it’s crazy, do I need your approval to post my opinion now??

No I just thought this was a discussion board where people post thoughts and other people respond to them.

We have the most points from losing positions in England. I don't think we've done that by just doing the same thing all game and hoping the opposition hand us the points.

That's why I think that view is crazy, hope that's ok. No need for the aggression.

We've had a great first half of the season, some ups and downs, and there's definitely room for improvement - which is the exciting part. It's going to be a fantastic and exciting period for us fans, we all know what it's like fighting at the other end of the table or even in the lower leagues. Best start enjoying it if you can. I've loved this season so far watching a great team filled with exciting young players (3 England U-21's - I remember Garry Parker playing for them and I couldn't believe he was playing for City!). What a brilliant job Liam Rosenoir is doing - we're fortunate to have him. Some good days ahead - embrace it.
