You sack Tony Mowbray - you need to bring in someone who is fundamentally better. Beale has them on the back foot, whether it works or not. Every bad result (and performance) will have us supporters questioning why? Can anyone honestly say they understand sacking Mowbray to bring in Beale? I know precisely why they’ve done it, and soon the penny will drop.

There’s continuity, and then there’s getting in people who will ‘just agree’. Many occasion on here it has been said the the ‘model’ needs flex. And many occasion I thought that it would. It doesn’t. And whether I agree with that or not, it can’t be lost on anyone that they need to play the game. As Sunderland supporters, we rightly demand to be top competitors, and KS has stated we are not content with anything less. We sacked Tone to bring in Beale - is that worth risking everything they’ve built? Or is it the case that speakman has brought in a likeminded appointment in the hope that everyone pulls in the same direction? I’ve never came out like this before, but I simply can’t sit on my hands when I see this unfolding when it isn’t in our best interest.

Way too soon for all of this. The fanbase being as toxic as it is likely won't help.

You said you know "exactly why" but this just seems like waffle... I don't really get your point?

What is Beale supposedly "just agreeing" with?

The model has nothing to do with Beale, KS and his team deal with recruitment.

What's "the game" they need to play?

    How are they "risking everything"?

Yes they probably have brought Beale in because they think he's like-minded and will pull in the same direction as the rest of the club... It would be insane to bring in someone they thought would try to pull in the opposite direction?

There were many occasions, on forums, when it was said that the away fans should be moved ...

    ... that went well.

Anyway, what do you mean by 'flex', presumably spending money on established players like a striker.

If that's from the Champinship none of the clubs fighting for promotion will sell us one. Probably no one fighting relegation either. That applies to the PL as well

Only three of the top ten Championship scorers are centre forwards ...

... so who should we be buying, perhaps highly rated Burstow from Chelsea.

This comment won’t be popular. We pride ourself on being brilliant fans. At the moment a lot of our fans are an embarrassment. Entitled little know it all brats dying to be proved right. Commenting on someone’s place of birth, accent, mole. The bloke has joined our club to utilise his skills and do his best, he isn’t the anti christ. Those relishing an under par performance so they can spew their poison should **** off for a while until they can come back and be a Sunderland ‘supporter’.

What's very weird is that people are desperately trying to prove that Speakman, Beale and the coaches are all 'colluding together' ...

... or, what some people call teamwork and working towards a common goal.

Surely no-one believes KLD is deliberately avoiding the PL and a £100m bonus.

I suppose it boils down to whether you want the club to be run in a sustainable way or not. In my opinion 'Flex' is just short for 'mortgaging the club and taking a gamble on success' in the same way Reading and Derby did

I think the club have got some things wrong. I think the strikers will improve but not getting one who can score even semi regularly is a mistake. So they made a mistake but they have a mistake to correct. Why can’t people rationalise that ?
As for Beale. People are just out of order and pathetic, Have some respect for another human first and foremost.

He's had about 3 training sessions and 3 games in less than a week. Surely you aren't expecting us to judge him based on that?

That play off finish last season has people thinking Mowbray is much better than he actually was.

January is going to be an interesting window,

I'm fairly certain we will be trying to send Burstow back as it just hasn't worked out and doesn't seem to be improving.

No doubt it will be another window of relying on Google for information on any signings. That's not a slight at the club, that's me admitting my knowledge on players that aren't ours is very limited

How do we know Beale isn't fundamentally better than Mowbray?
Fundamentally, he appears to be a better fit for the model (which, as I keep saying, isn't anything unusual in European football).
We see very little of his work on the training pitch so we aren't in a position to judge that.
His first three games have resulted in a greater number of points than Mowbray's last three games.

Just so I can understand the people against this appointment….

In your opinions, what makes Tony Mowbray a better coach and more suited to this team, than Michael Beale?

Saying Michael Beale is ****, won’t cut it.
