Leagues 1 and 2 have different rules to the championship and premier league
Which is stupid in itself....how can you gear up to comply when different leagues have different rules ffs
I can't remember the exact differences, but I do recall that the first year back in the championship puts you in year 1 of ffp on the 3 year rolling cycle.

Oh! No idea to be honest maybe just didn’t find the right place to go I have no idea. A lot of players similar end up in Turkey on good retirement money and that might not interest him but he’s definitely good enough to do a job at this level still imo.

There's a lot of good players without a club, it could be circumstance, it could be choice, it could be that he is finished.
It wouldn't hurt to at least explore it rather than dismiss it
The club will only dismiss it if theyve watched him and they think hes finished
I never said otherwise, there are people far more knowledgeable at the club than me to judge if he could a job.

I wouldnt be against signing him but based on the last game i watched ot his i really wasnt impressed. He was one of my fave ever sunderland players when he was here n I was gutted we didnt keep him, just dont think hes the same player anymore
Difficult to watch him when he hasn't played. With the come and get me plea I don't think it would hurt to get him over for a week or 2 to see what he looks like.

I doubt the club are too bothered about any come and get me pleae mate. They will have their list of targets for Jan and the summer already I am sure and I just dont see a 33 year old out of contract player being one who they see as necessary. I am sure they will sign a midfielder, unless a striker comes in and Jobe drops back. To be honest, as decent as he was, I would be gutted if we made another Defoe style decision - that was a farce that I doubt they will repeat. Loads of more suitable signings for me I am afraid.
Theyll watch his games from last season on systems like wyscout, the video scouts n data teams will be analysing his performances from last season

yeh I’m saying the club might have explored it long ago and decided it’s not right. As might have many others. The only thing we categorically know is that he’s unemployed.
