Hmmm, that would seem quite tricky to do mid-season for various reasons. I would assume it would be after this season finishes.

Yeah sorry I wasn't particularly clear, the consultation would start this season with a plan to implement next is how I understood it. Definitely couldn't do it mid season due to relocating STHs.

Still not convinced the police will be happy to sign off on it tbh. Lots of issues to be sorted before it can happen I feel.

Controversial maybe but also don't think it'd make much of a difference to atmosphere really. They're still gonna be behind the goal

Yeah, for a start where would the away coaches go? Should we get promoted there will be 3000 every game for sure. If we were still in the Championship it may be easier. And TBH I'm not sure it's needed. Since some of the noisy bunch moved to the back of the Chapel the atmosphere in the ground has been great.

I think the coaches could probably go in the industrial estate or south car park? I think train station escorts for games that require it would be a bigger issue. Can't imagine the old bill wanting to escort them through the parks and middle of town etc

Maybe they think our singing areas are too dispersed, since the Northam is separated from the Itchen. Lump them all behind the goal together and that would be extra noisy, I guess.

Or maybe it's a psychological thing to do with the players, haha.

Or half those people migrate down the Chapel end to be near away fans...

I don't think they'll move the away fans down the other end TBH. Simply shift them into the Itchen/Northam corner.

Apparently it's the current family enclosure which has been proposed. I suspect the corporate boxes in Itchen would stop away fans going there.

Good point.

Which is why I don't think it'll make much difference. None of the corners seem feasible for various reasons so they'll just be in exact same spot but at the other end of the ground.
