I remember when "Game shows" were for the average person to get 15 minutes of fame and win a bit money.

These days they're all hijacked by celebrities. Only mention this because I've just seen a celebrity win 6k on tipping point where a bloke off the street gets about 500 quid.

It's remarkable how much the bloke looks like Reacher, it's like he's stepped out of the book onto the screen. Little bit different to Tom Cruise.

I said the same the bloke is a lot more believable as Reacher, ad he has the size.

I eventually gave in and watched the Tom Cruise movies and ignored the fact he was nothing like Reacher in size etc... And I almost got away with it until the one where they are looking for someone who has killed a woman with a punch and the motel owner points them to Reacher and says "you'll see" which in the book is down to the fact Reacher is a big guy, it doesn't work on the movie when they go and find Tom Cruise <laugh>

I can see why Cruise got the part, he's guaranteed box office and he gets to pretend he's a foot taller and a hundred pounds heavier but it was a step too far for me, I swerved them.

One of the best things about the Reacher series is how faithful to the books it is, they somehow got someone who looks and acts like him and everything else is as straightforward and unaffected by modern politics as you could hope for. I wish all book to screen adaptations did the same.

It’s absolutely brilliant. As you say Gary Oldman steals the show and I bet he loves playing the character

Bosch is decent too.

Finished Ted Lasso tonight, was a bit of a chore at times with the exception of a superb first series which flew by, but a good show on the whole.
 
Just finished Slow Horses. I've commented on it before on this thread but dear me, some very good telly that. Gary Oldman, absolutely stole the show. Series 5 confirmed, and Series 4 not out until NOVEMBER! Worth a few hours of anyone's time. Love it
