Our strikers should take heed of what LND once said, i have to position myself in a way that others can find me, non of our lot are doing that.

Not true. Mayenda and Rusyn make plenty of runs but our lads are so used to going wide they don't look for the balls through the middle often enough. Evans being out and Neil playing deeper doesn't help this either.

They could improve their movement, definitely. But it's not as simple as that.

Our wingers hold onto the ball for too long, means the defenders can get back n organised. We need to get back to moving the ball quickly no matter who starts

Sounds simple really, you'd think they'd be doing that in training?

    One million percent this.

If you wanna beat your man 3 times every time you get the ball then they are lighting cigars at CB.

Maybe true, but my point is we also need to go wide less in the first place and play the ball straight through to the strikers run.

Exactly, theres loads of drills you can do about moving the ball quickly through zones so surely theyll be doing stuff like that

This is why I am desperate for us to try and get Carvalho.

Loves the ball in that area in the centre.

Not one of our midfielders or wing backs plays a forward ball between the opposite defenders. Not once this season which is why Burstow, Rysun or Myenda have had a look in. All the balls to put to the wings.

For me the first ball forward should to be your striker, he shields it and plays it to either the wingers or attacking midfielder and then gets his arse forward towards the goal

Not as simple as that tho, if a team is crowding the middle the pitch you want to get it wider quickly to shift the defence wider then itll create space in the middle. It doesnt matter if the ball is played into the wingers or the CF 1st, the key is the tempo that we play the passes at. At times this season weve moved it quickly to our wingers but then they slow it down rather than still driving at pace at the full back. It was fine when we slowed it at times last season as we had Amad who could ping it top corner from anywhere, this season we dont have that so we have to keep moving the ball at pace

Need them to be our new Summerbee & Johnston if we can get a striker to aim for.

They 2 of them will never be like summerbee, his 1st thought was get the ball out of his feet and whip in crosses. Our team doesnt necessarily need a winger like that, just need them to move it quicker. They need to learn when to take on their man n when to move it quickly.

Roberts needs to learn how to attack the back post, Ba has been poor but the one thing he does do is get himself into goalscoring position's, roberts is never in those same positions.

Ba still should have been booked at Halftime the otherday, he wasn't having a good game or making any significant impact. Yes the same could and and has been said of others but he was the least effective of the bunch.

Im not saying he was better than anyone else btw, hes been really poor last few games. I was more highlighting that Roberts needs to be getting himself into goalscoring positions, pritchard is the same when he starts, need more players arriving later on the box to start chipping in with goals

Lets hope for a better performance today

Those you have mention have all done more than Ba has when he has been picked. The six or seven games when Ba has played he has been poor but the kid is still learning, just not quickly enough.

Im not saying he has done more, im talking about movement in the box to get into goal scoring positions. Its been an issue for us all season, we rely on Clarke to score - our other attackers need to step up. Ba has played a few good games this season but has been really poor recently, the point i was making with him is he gets himself into the box into very good positions - we need roberts n pritchard to do the same

Ba has 2 goals n 1 assist this season
Roberts has 1 assist - need more from him in the final 3rd

Pritchard needs to get himself into goal scoring positions more but at least he chips in with assists

if he had scored the other day with to be fair , he should have, these conversations about his place in the team would not materialise. When he does get into the box his choice of a pass or shot goes to pieces...he is too , not jittery or panicy, but there is a word for it I'm sure....the real trouble for any of our players in the box is to pass rather than blast. At times the passing is over played.
