We have some of the grandkids staying tonight, may you never lose the feeling that you need to scan the sky for Santa on Christmas eve , oh and leave him a double brandy , mince pie and a carrot for the reindeer
Merry Christmas to all Spurs, everywhere and special wishes to those on this forum! I hope your loved ones are safe and well and your presents are all that you would hope for. Personally, I've already had mine...as I sit in front of a repeat of Whitehouse & Mortimer Go Fishing, in my bulky pee pants, cancer free!
Ah the memories of eating the mince pie and nibbling on the carrot so the kids thought he had been! Brilliant..
Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas. Hope you enjoy eating the turkey, mince pies and drinking snowballs as much as I will (I may have already drank just one or two tonight). Nice going into a Christmas where we’re actually enjoying watching our team too in what’s felt like an age, long that may that continue! Cheers all
I've very little dignity left...but unlike my brother, I left the hospital on my 2 feet with a life ahead of me. Dignity is overrated. Keeping breathing is everything
You're talking to a man who had a sock of piss thrown at him.. my only contact with dignity is that Deacon Blue song Genuinely pleased to hear your news. Mrs RCL was being tested for it a few months ago cos she's been very ill. Fortunately all clear but so scary.
Mrs B'd had a mini stroke and been operated on for cervical cancer. Those were far more upsetting than anything I've been through. Thankfully, neither of my girls have been severely ill. I would really struggle with that. In the last 10 years, I've had 2 spinal surgeries, nearly died of an infection following a minor op, got a serious blood condition and had cancer. Mrs B has to put up with so much.
Merry Christmas everyone! I am another who has had a worrying year as my wife had a tumour on her optic nerve which required a 10 hour surgery via craniotomy to remove it. She made a great recovery and it was non cancerous so all should be well.
....and to put up with last few years of pain and anguish inflicted by our favourite team! That's more than enough for anyone, Brian! Seriously though, mate - you're due a break! Wishing you all the best
I don't tend to post much but I love reading all the comments, with their differing opinions and some genuinely make me laugh out loud. Keep well everyone, relax and enjoy the festive time. I'm about to run my son to work in his inflatable Santa suit as he does a shift behind the bar in the local. Oh and he has promised to buy me a drink... .
Watching others being ill is much harder than being ill yourself. It's especially so when they are your nearest and dearest. Wonderful to hear that the prognosis is good. A wonderful '24 beckons! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.
Merry Christmas everyone! Wish everyone wonderful days and all the best for 2024. All I want for Christmas is 3pts and a new CB
