What was everyone's take on the comments about wanting players on the up and not looking at players that have reached their max level? Made me wonder what the future holds for Pritchard, Dack and probably 09
Could be, just made me think, if those 3 were to go, it would only leave Roberts over 25 wouldn't it? Although there would an argument he's reached his level as well
My take is that he's talking about the future ... ... I think he'll play anyone if they'll get us promoted.
I don't disagree at all, he made it clear he is targeting play offs. I suppose its the conveyor belt principle, take Pritchard as an example. He's reached his max potential and we have Adil and Jobe on the way up. Or in Seelts case 09 has reached his level as Seelt is on his way up
Really good interview, and the more I think about it the more I can't understand the outrage at this appointment. He has a lot of experience at top clubs coaching which is what the main part of his role here will be. His "failure" at Rangers (if 70%+ win ratio is considered "failure"...) Was as a manager which is different to what he'll be doing here. I think the appointment makes a lot of sense. As far as I can tell, the head coach role at SAFC is quite different to being manager at most clubs, and Beale seems like a perfect fit for it. Can't get my head around all those "fans" who are twisting at this appointment but would have been happy as a dog with 2 cocks if we'd signed Hellberg - a Swedish bloke with no experience whatsoever at any level close to what Beale has coached / managed at, or Will Still - someone who has had one manager job and succeeded in taking Reims from mid-table all the way up to the glorious heights of... Mid-table... Don't get me wrong, those appointments would have been fine, but how some people have convinced themselves they would have been miles better than Beale is absolutely baffling to me...
If their level is low level premiership, then they'll be played up to that level. If they're top championship level, they'll be played until we get promoted. If we buy young players, hopefully their potential is premiership level. I don't think the comments are about current players.
It's a common problem mind. Even at a White House presser ( really, don't bother!), you often have to infer the question from the answer because you couldn't hear it being asked.
Translation I saw of a similar tweet said he thinks he’s been treat unfairly. Had to laugh actually when I seen that he’s as many combined goals and assists as Roberts this season and he’s played 8 minutes of football
Jewison Bennette is not playing for Sunderland due to differences on the part of the board. According to sources, the player believes that he is not being treated with respect. The player would go out on loan in January.
Last I heard was Mowbray said that he’d asked to play for the u21s because he wasn’t getting game time. Think his injury was at the end of last season no idea about this season.
Exactly this, according to my family anyway. Logged off last night in anger due to being patronised. Pleased to see I am not the only one who has the same history I do, and I do not need to study again our history.
When you think about it, it's not a bad thing if he's asked to play games be that here or on loan. Rather that then sitting picking up a wage for nothing
Frustrating thing about this is the last time we seen him he was spinning around Southamptons defence and whipping a great cross in, hasn't been given a chance since.
