The point is we probably won't "slip away" from Euro places. You don't tend to beat Arsenal, Villa, Man U, Chelsea to then just fade away. Players will come back, more will arrive in Jan and the most important factor is that there's a lot of quality at the top so there'll be a lot more L's than usual sprinkled about so nobody gets to run away with it. The highest placed side Man U have beaten was Chelsea - who are laughably bad, yet sit in 10th! Brighton have it in them to beat decent sides, as do Brentford, so just to say we'll fall away when we're beating those near or at the top is nuts.
For what it's worth I think we might enjoy ourselves against the Spurs high line. Everton, don't know. They're one of a number of tricky mid table clubs who can sometimes get the job done.
