Match Day Thread General matchday thread.

Unfortunately they won't be winning the Premier League fair and square 2 years after promotion... nor can they now win it before a 'throw millions and millions at it' club like Liverpool ... with s squad costing less than the Liverpool goalie ...<cheers>
actually we had 18 league titles before you got the first .

It's a no contest in my time as a supporter, Liverpool and Man Utd always were the biggest and best two teams, everyone else picked up the scraps of what was left. I'd say Liverpool from the 70's onwards and Man Utd under Fergie. I could probably still reel off the names of those Liverpool and Man Utd players, no one is going to remember Leicesters except for Steptoe, in fact I've forgotten already.

Yeah it defo goes in cycles
I do think some clubs rightly or wrongly seem to be linked to the top league and this even happens in grass roots
My team won the prem only for 3 to be taken by the biggest club in the league who have better training facilities - play with kids who are developed a bit further - so I have no grumbles
Best thing for them - I tend to take it as a compliment that such a club wants one of my players.
Just the way it is isn’t it ?
Maybe I am wrong for viewing it that way - who knows ?

The only other team that gets on my top three list is West Ham for winning us the world cup.

No not when I last checked, but they will give you it at a discounted cost, off the top of my head, instead of £29.99 a month, £18 per month on a minimum term contract - then of course your broadband costs on top of that. I think I'm due to renew my broadband provider sometime late next year, so I will see what deals BT have at that time and also calculate how often I watch BT Sport as I'm currently pay as you go, although I've got it free at the mo but that's another story lol.
I was, up until I moved out of my house, a BT broadband customer. I did have the sports free when it first came out but cancelled it when it became a paid service as whenever I went to watch something it was always pixelated?
I wasn’t going to pay for a service, that as soon as a decent game came on didn’t work!!!

Yeah it's one of the problems with BT you need a good a internet. Mine does not pixelate, but it can be prone to freezing and you have to reload it. Generally it's if you do something else on the internet, while watching it. Although I use chromecast to send it from my laptop or phone to the tv. They switched to TNT recently and initially it was better, but gone back to being temperamental now, although I hasten to add my internet speed is not the best - my broadband provider want to connect new cables though, but I wasn't in the mood so told them to fook off. <laugh> I was polite actually and the guys already knew the answer before they got here, because they phoned me. I knew they wouldn't be bothered because it means they get out of doing a pain in the arse job.

My new house, when eventually finished, will have fibre (or that’s what the developer is telling me!) so hopefully that will help.
I didn’t mind BT as a broadband provider, it was always reliable for my needs.

Just found out Huddesfield have won more league titles than Spurs.

That is all.

I haven't checked but it sounds about right. I use to be a bit of a geek for football knowledge as a kid, but I can't remember a thing now, but you just saying it makes me think hmmm yeah that's true actually.

I know when they were hassling me to put in new cables, I read there was some government thing that requires it now from all broadband providers, so if you've got a new property I would yes be expecting them to put in the top spec cabling, it's probably on a gov. website I read about it.
