Loved TV from the time I got a football year book at Christmas in about 1968 when he was playing for QPR. In it he was asked which team he thought might be the next big thing and he said Hull City. RIP.. a big loss.

Met him and his family a few times as I did my A levels in London and his daughter was at the same school in the year below me (I fancied her something rotten - it wasn't reciprocated unfortunately!). Lovely bloke always very chatty, the rest of the family were just the same. His daughter still runs a pub in the area.
