One hour 10 from Junction 38E to south cave turn off... apparently some prick has hit a bridge over the 63. Both directions affected... seems there are cables and concrete hanging ..!!!
I haven't seen whats happened HT2 but if its the bridge were with thinking of it slopes down from left to right as you travel west... maybe a lorry in the outside lane ??
HDM picture shows damage to the inside lane of the bridge, obviously caused by a City fan throwing a grenade at it. Norwich fans throwing grenades at it would have seen a Hiroshima type landscape. Rugby fans would have thrown bottles at it, but with none of them arrested. After consulting with Leon, Castro told me to post this, honestly... Some divvy with a low-loader and a JCB on the back tried to go under a bridge that was lower than his JCB. Made quite a mess... please log in to view this image
Still closed west bound.... Ive just managed to get to east hull and then came back past Kingswood and then Little Weighton way to South Cave... It took 30. minutes from the Vineyard into SC village. Apparently all the villages are snarled... and the digger company will say, is the plant ok and wont give a ****. Good luck getting home everyone...
Yes, crowds were down because Millwall, Pompey the Blunts and the Fowls turned back after seeing that.
Can't be a bridge over troubled water - according to my sister they avoided heavy flooding around there ?
Actually this morning when I was stuck... there was a hearse and a cortege just I front of me... with respect to the persons passing, I couldn't help but think 'this person is going to be late for their own funeral'...
You're digging your own grave with that sort of post. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Could be mess brewing on A63. This morning I drove to Hedon. A63 west closed from SAQ. Tail back past Saltend. Emergency bridge repairs apparently, maybe similar to those on the Ouse Bridge..!!
The A63 will be closed until Saturday morning "at the earliest" due to emergency bridge repairs, managers have said. National Highways, the agency responsible for maintaining the road, said that a "defective bridge joint" had been discovered during a routine inspection of the bridge, which carries the road over the St Andrew's Quay junction, last night. Engineers are now working to assess and repair the joint as soon as possible The closure of the westbound carriageway led to long delays this morning, with tailbacks reaching King George Dock at one stage. Further delays are expected during the evening rush hour.
Bloody marvellous that when we had a Hull MP as deputy PM and another has the Home Secretary, the A63 was never upgraded to motorway standard, even for a city the size of Hull....Can you imagine if the same applied to Tory MPs. It would have been built the next day. I guess Prescott was too busy driving around in his two Jags and Johnson was here as a lodger.
The old logic was that after Goole there would be less traffic coming to Hull, but no ****er in planning ever seems to think more than 10 years forward, like Castle Street, pointless when one lane is closed, gridlock all over Hull, Vicky dock roundabout will either get a flyover or widened soon because that causes huge queues down Hedon Road. https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/local-news/m62-suddenly-ends-yorkshire-city-25990628
