In a pub in Birmingham yesterday, a round for 4 pints came to about £23. Turns out 2 of them where £4.75, the others £6.50, the dearer ones were the weaker of the 4. I don't expect all beer to cost the same and I expect to pay a bit in a City Centre but I think a difference of almost 2 quid is a bit rich. Prices should be displayed somewhere obvious.
I paid 5:35 for a pint of moretti and half a guiness in ebeneezers!! they’ve got cruzcampo in there too
Which even if you don’t like it is worth getting just to nick the glass

Steverico got the last pint of Kronebourg in there, they were giving the glasses away if you wanted one. I had a black velvet in there last time, as did Rab ermm Ric Glasgow. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Shops full of Christmas tat, and Christmas adverts on the telly. It's November the 1st FFS

I know it's the second now but I saw both yesterday.

I was having the same conversation at the weekend. I get exhausted by it all come the big day. Is xmas fatigue a thing? It should be.

I went to one of our local garden centres three weeks ago to try to buy a cold frame.

Garden furniture and greenhouse section had been dismantled and replaced with artificial Christmas trees and flashing Santas.

Second week of October.

True story.

Pah, Mrs Two has had me taking her to more Christmas departments than Rover's had facelifts. We've been going since early October, prior preparation etc.

Was talking to brother who lives darn sarf and works in central London.
Said it’s getting close to expecting £10 a pint now when he goes to the bar.
Does take the glasses though if he likes them because at that price he assumes they’re included.

5.90 for a pint of bitter in York a couple of weeks ago. Not even a city center pub.

Just seen that Bobby Charlton's 66 semifinal shirt has been put up for auction.

That's some pretty low life opportunism.

If you read about it the shirt was put up for auction this November months ago when the owner did not know Bobby was going to pass away.Apparently the owner was someone who won some money on Littlewoods and spent money buying football memorabilia as an investment. He bough the shirt in 2000. Not any sort of low life opportunism.
