I was brought up being told that Remembrance Day was so that we never forgot the horrors of war in order that it never be repeated

anybody else see the glaring problem there ?

lest we forget

Israel obviously remembers WW2 which is why they react the way they do

Doesn't make this current situation right but is understandable

Always wondered why the year 1967 was being used by the folk on here. I thought, why not just go from now or back to the very start? I think this Muslim guy has given me the answer.

So the settlers are just taking back Israeli land, then. Guys on here trying to fool people by only going back to a year that suited them lol.

Once you go back you don’t stop at what suits your agenda, you go back all the way.

All the way back to what? The Crusaders, the Romans, the Babylonians, King David, the beginning of recorded history?

For the record, the most harmonious period in the history of the region may have been under the Ottomans, when Moslems, Christians and Jews seem to have tolerated each other, and respected each other’s holy sites.

the Jewish Torah says they have no homeland until the messiah turns up but that’s a real Jews book

the fake jews are Zionists who believe in power and greed and genocide silencing any real Jew that calls them out by calling them anti semitic <laugh>

The start. Day dot.

Or, just sack that idea off and go from now and accept the land everyone has now. Hand selecting a year at random from over 50 years ago just to take as much land as possible from the jews is bullshit.

I'd say go from today. If you go back then you go back to the start and that's clearly not a good idea for the Palestinians.

Well tbh it probably makes more sense to start in the here and now and work towards the future, rather than banging on endlessly about the past. That’s how problems tend to get solved.
