I was brought up being told that Remembrance Day was so that we never forgot the horrors of war in order that it never be repeated

anybody else see the glaring problem there ?

Not sure awareness is an issue. Every **** has become an expert in three weeks. I don’t know who it’s meant to make feel uncomfortable but fine. The flag manufacturers are making good money anyway- been a great couple of years for them.

I haven't watched the news on this tbh so don't know.

It does seem not so straight forward because there are reports (from both sides) that Hamas fighters are engaging with Israeli forces on the ground (Israel saying combat has been face to face at times), whilst at the same time reports that this bloke (a leader) has decided to run and hide.
