Aye, it's all samey and predictable. I've never considered Muse to be very original, just extremely good live. Forward Russia are good though.

While I'm at it, another for my favourite albums list, Dr. Feelgood - Down by the Jetty. Wilko Johnson is an awesome guitarist.

Never heard of him haha. Will have a look now.

Another guitar genius. I only like his mellower stuff though, some of his stuff can be quite weird.

obviously not listened to the stranglers (listen to genetix near the end and tell me that bass solo is three cords) and lumping all bands from the punk era into the 3 chords, horrible vocals and no solos brackets a bit unfair really but hey each to their own.

about 2mins 45 secs in granted not their best work but for me as (i used to play bass) JJ Burnel is the best bass player to walk the planet

I'm about 6 minutes into listening to Marquee Moon by Television (goes on for over 10mins) but will listen when it has finished. would recommend this song as into to Television/Tom Verlaine, but bear with it it builds slowly.

Absolutely agree they still kick ass. I dare anyone to introduce me to a better 3 minute power pop song that packs a better punch than teenage kicks. Used to know all the words to Jilted John :) As for psycho killer talking heads were so far ahead of their time!

I don't like jazz either, or metal, rap and r&b. Other than that i'm easy.

I loved the Undertones and That Petrol Emotion were quite good too. Those O'Neill boys could really write guitar hooks.

Our of interest i've spent 25 years trying to find somebody that listens to The Cardiacs. A really innovative band that use all sorts of instruments and bucket loads of key changes in most of their songs. Any of you guys fans?
