Newcastles injury situation will continue throughout the season... we've not even got to the winter months.

Essentially they're short of quality in comparison to other clubs and have been over achieving.

This season they'll finish 7th or 8th and the media and some fans will carry on as if that's a poor return

I'm sorry but anyone thinking a side with some of the dross Newcastle have is a regular top 4 side is delusional beyond belief.

Years away.

How bad is a shoulder dislocation? Does it just need to be popped back?

Rest Isak next game and hopefully he may be able to be a sub against Man U.
Really depends. Once popped out, it can easily recur. Especially in first few months. My brother dislocated his and it went at least 3 more times. Can be very painful at the time, depending.on what else tears internally in the pricess. Some people can dislocate and instantly carry on (once popped back in), while others can be out for weeks at a time. It's not necessarily about how tough you are, it's the damage each specific dislocation causes to soft tissue around it during the injury

I tried believe me but some simply will not accept Newcastle over achieved and reality means falling back to around top 6/8 for year or two.

It's not rocket science but you can't keep finishing top 4 with the likes of lascelles Burn longstaff and Murphy playing every week ffs can you ?
I agree but we have to go on the journey. We will progress. We have too. Are we able to change things over night.

We have to accept as fans that we will have these nights and it’s part of the learning curve.

We all will say give me this over the Ashley years.

Lol.

We are literally 4 points off 4th place and we haven't even played 10 games of the season yet. As well as thrashing PSG in the Champions League and putting the best team in Europe out of the cup in the last few weeks.

Things are kinda good, to suggest this result is the onset of a huge decline is hilarious.

Isak is the only loss....60% of Newcastles side is below the required standard for a top 4 club.

Top 8 will be a good season.. had a little day out I'm the champions league and had a taste of the nectar... nothing more .

Stay grounded enjoy the struggle to the top.

A few years ago we were playing Burton in the Championship. Tonight we gave Borussia Dortmund a game in the Champions League.

I’m deflated, course I am, I ****ing love this club. But my perspective is pretty decent on the grand scheme of things. Man City struggled to get through much easier groups than this in their early days and look at them now.

Decline? We were 19th two years ago... one flash in the pan season doesn't mean alot... they don't have enough good players to finish top 4 regularly.

Just reality and people need to accept it.

Wot?

We were 19th in the first half of that season then the second half our form put us 3rd in the form table, then we carried on that the next season and finished 4th. We're currently 6th and on a great run of form and have put City out the league cup and thrashed PSG in the Champions League.

"One flash in the pan season". Lol.

Did you actually go to the game tonight mate? Where were you sitting?

I knew people were trying to locate me like a mouse locates a piece of cheese so I said behind the goal but I was in fact in the Gallowgate West corner.

We finished 4th once that doesn't prove they're a regular top 4 side. You've quite clearly sold yourself the notion top 8 isn't a good season but I haven't.

This side isn't good enough to finish top 4 regularly because it's relying heavily on sub standard players that wouldn't be good enough for the other clubs aiming for it.

Why can't you just be happy with top 7/8 ? I think that's about right personally.

I said this at the match. Think he was the best player on the pitch.

Brilliant he owned Joelinton who looks out of sorts .. looks sullen not just off the pace I think something is happening in his private life... the passion he had is non existent.

We need to stop piss farting about in windows and just replace some of the older lads.

Wilson is absolutely first on the list, he's 31 years of age for Christ sake.

Next window we will spend some money, for sure.

Think we honestly need a £100m spend to replace some people

Replace lascelles longstaff Murphy and Burn with good players and Newcastle will be cooking.

They're quite simply below the standard required for a top side.

Longstaff knows it himself I heard his interview.
