People are joking, but that Twine miss perfectly encapsulates the discussion with Newcastle that we create chances to score but don't put them away, and that's in no part Rosenior’s fault.

Much as I like and defend Rosenior, I think it is his responsibility, as with everything else that happens on the pitch. His team, his players, his problem to solve when they don't do what he wants.

That's not to say I expect him to fix everything immediately whenever there's a problem, but ultimately the manager does take responsibility for everything their players do.

Brilliant stuff City....Sounds as if Philogene was unplayable tonight, plus Delap ran them ragged....and it was comfortable. Lets be fair, its never comfortable for City, but you know what I mean.
I watched it on Birmingham TV. Their pundits were gushing over the player he was directly against, almost suggesting he had Philo in his pocket. So not unplayable but he was always a threat, and a great finish.
Whereas Delap was unplayable first half. What a combo those two are!

Maybe Twine works harder than Tufan...According to a geezer there, he put in a shift and was okay tonight. Not great, but okay.

I'll probably get stick for this but we do overhype Tufan sometimes. He can be a great player, but he's not the undroppable star that people sometimes make out. He's been injured and not yet got his place back. We have three or four good players who play a similar role to him. There doesn't need to be an explanation beyond that for him to be not playing currently.

I'm not quite sure Twine falling over his own feet in front of an open goal is in any way on Rosenior. Suppose it's Liam's fault Traore hit the post against Leeds too?

The only way it's "on Rosenior" is in the sense he chose not to drop Twine..

We play counter attacking football, at home that ploy doesn't work as the away side just sit back and actually start to believe they'll get something out of the game if they frustrate us.

Do we?? Amazing to do that while having the bulk of possession in most games.

It isn't directly, but a manager is responsible for everything that happens on the pitch. You could say he should do more sessions on not falling over, or pick players with better balance. That's facetious, I don't actually think he's made a mistake that's led to Twine missing, but the manager has to have ultimate responsibility. Obviously most of the time it's not Twine falling over specifically, it's the attack wasting chances in general, and I'm sure that is something that LR can and will be working on.

Sorry I completely disagree. Individual errors are on the players that commit them. In the same way Philogene's skill and ability isn't a credit to Rosenior.
