Pretty much summed up that Angelic..It’s so bad, the conspiracy theorist in me wonders how much is setup by the hierarchy of this world.. The global super powers/corporates such as China, Russia and possibly the States etc must be watching our demise with joy..
Now they've jumped into the ongoing issues in the middle east, and given the bill for the war they're propping up in Ukraine comes to nearly $230m per day at their expense, the US are far worse off financially, and their continued appeasement of the likes of BLM by defunding the Police, means they have increasingly lawless towns and cities and it actually makes me feel better !

We are indeed supposedly the 6th or 7th largest economy in the developed world, (according to the 'experts' !) but years of waste under both Labour and Conservative rule, plus possibly Brexit, followed by Covid, wrong decisions being made at critical times, and not forgetting all this lefty woke nonsense that's seeped into our western life and hamstrung so much from top to bottom is all to blame as a combination in my humble opinion.

We waste so much money on lazy people who don't want to work, an ageing population that becomes more expensive by the day, and the cost of illegal immigration I'm surprised taxes don't need to go up even more.

We have had a population explosion over the last 22 years, and these are not Brits. They're aliens.
They don't integrate or assimilate, they stay in their silo's often with very different views to us, yet we're the ones who have to pander their their demands.

As a result of us being lax with allowing these uninvited foreigners in by the boat load, we now don't have enough services, housing, schools, and infrastructure to cope with an extra near 10 million people since 2000.

Ten million extra people means the population has increased nearly 20%.

Think about just how much that has affected our country.

No wonder nothing works and the roads are at gridlock (and in poor repair, yes)

Law & Order has become a joke. If your car is stolen or your house is burgled, don't expect the Police to show up, because they won't. But mis-gender someone, and they'll turn up mob handed to haul you away.

When we wanted strong leadership and vision for the country from Brown onwards, Cameron, May, and Johnson we got the exact opposite. As for Blair, it started well and ended in humiliation with stupid things like everyone going to Uni, and open borders, plus dragging us into a war that we had no right or need to join. Now look at the state of things.

A reason for Brexit not yet realising its potential was largely down to Teresa May, a re-moaner who didn't get us as good a deal as we could have had and had to be replaced.

Johnson was weak with virtually everything, including Covid lockdowns that have killed our economy and was p1ss poor on legal and illegal immigration too. Starmer didn't even mention it in his speech last week, so we know by default he'll do nothing different. Starmer campaigned hard for a second referendum to overturn the original decision !

No one has had the will or foresight to admit that the NHS needs huge reform to improve patient care and save the taxpayer money and give value for money.

We continue to hurtle towards Net Zero, which for me is a suicide mission.
As far as I'm aware no one has done any costs analysis on how much it's going to cost the UK, but it's likely to be trillions of pounds, and guess who will pay for it ? Yeah, the good old tax payer. And has anyone considered what the come back or answer will be if the world achieves Net Zero at some point and global temperatures don't fall and the weather, because we are a cyclical planet, doesn't revert to what it was before all this nonsense ?
I find it incredible that some Tesla charging stations are powered by diesel generators <laugh>
Fossil fuels have helped to give us light, food, transport and warm homes. Why on earth are we pursuing this crazy line when there are biofuels from plants that could replace oil if we are determ ined to wean ourselves off of what has powered the world for a few centuries.

This country has fallen so far, that tens of thousand of anti Semitic, pro Palestine, possibly pro terrorism protesters, are now allowed to chant for jihad against Israel (for now) on the streets of Britain, and the Police stand by and watch them and make just 10 arrests.
These same sort of people ran out into the streets of New York to celebrate on 9/11 as the planes hit the World Trade Centre. They got away with it too.

The fact that nothing is done to prosecute these anti western and anti Israel supporters of hate will come back and bite innocent Brits in the months and years to come.

As a country we're pathetic, and the anti west haters know they're on a winner as we lack the balls to let them know who is in charge.
I don’t normally get involved in these tit for tat politics post. I think we should all let people vote for who they want to and not try and influence people on a football forum.
What I have noticed is you’ve mentioned the people coming across the sea and saying they are all wrong uns and should be sent back or would you prefer shot? But have you ever thought on an anonymous board that you may well be talking to some of these people on here?
Also all those things above you dislike, who has been in power for the past 13 years to allow this to happen?

1) As I've said on many many posts, the Tories only have themselves to blame for a lot of what's happened over the last 13 years. But before they came to power, successive Labour governments were to blame for a lot of the current issues.
2) I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do or who to vote for. It's my own personal opinions.
3) I've never said they're all wrong un's, or suggested they should be shot. What I do say is that if they are illegal, then they have no right to be here and that we owe them nothing. Again, that's just my personal opinion.

To be fair ROD this thread is labelled ‘off topic’ - politics, music and most other topics are ok with that label :emoticon-0148-yes:

Despite all the differences of political opinion on here I don’t think any of us want any migrant shot.

The shooting bit was tongue in cheek.
I don’t mind the political debates, just think we’ve been here before.
Also I’m voting Green Party, not that I like them just I like the colour green.

And you don’t like the colour red?, strange for a City fan, maybe you should support FGR they are green.

Follow the family mate. Grandfather told me I had to support City. My dad worked for Pioneer who had green and white mixers so I liked green.
I used to like it when we all had individual colours now all mixers and tippers are white (apart from independents)

The country has gone to the dogs and I shan’t be voting for either of the main parties
Both are truly awful
It might be a wasted vote but it’s the only way to make the point
We need strong leadership

They are saying they will be fiscally responsible, t
Set out their manifesto yet, nor can they say their detailed fiscal policies, even a government won’t do that in detail before a budget. If they did they’d be, rightly, criticised. What we do know is this present lot have made a complete mess of things, everything you can name is worse than when they took over 13 years ago.

The Torie are saying they are fiscally responsible. So after being asked how labours priorities them economic ones will be different to the Tories you cant explain how so you didn't know? If you looked at Starmer pledges the ones he did have which were different to Tories you can see hes rolled back to a position very close to the Tories. If you read Labour lists where labours plans are being revealed the five point plan after the recent conference you can see labour being very close to the Tories on what Labour calls fiscal stability. Starmers been criticised for being right wing and economically he is. Plans to magic up investment from increasing gdp past other past are magic make believe the UK doesnt get that growth let alone from having no plan to anything different to the last twenty years economically to magic up that what would have to be record economic growth!!!!.

I find it fascinating that some people on here seem to be saying that although they acknowledge the current lot are ****, they are too scared of voting Labour for a 5 year stint in case things get worse - a sort of ‘better the devil you know’ ethos - yet many of those same people thought nothing of voting us out of Europe - a lifetime change with no ability to reverse it after 5 years if it turned out bad, when Brexit was a complete unknown and any perceived ‘benefits’ were hypothetical theories and aspirations without any foundation whatsoever and have yet to take on any form. The desire for change seemed so great in that case that shafting the economy and sending us fiscally back to the 1980s was deemed a risk worth taking……

Theres nowt as funny as folk…….

I reckon a lot of people simply won't vote at the next GE.
They've lost faith in the Tories but Starmer and co have no appeal to them and people will feel things could get a lot worse under Labour

I think you’re right - Starmer isn’t lefty enough for the staunch Labour hardliners and Sunak doesn’t really appeal to hard-line Tories.

They are being ultra cautious so as not to scare people off. Remember in order to win an election they have to appeal to disaffected tories, they are trying to move into the middle ground. It’s working as the tories themselves are increasingly moving more to the right. IT’s tactical politics.

No vote is ever wasted Angelic, it just determines the outcome!

I watched PMQ's today, and it was quite refreshing to see how attitudes are panning out and how various factions conduct themselves. KS is far from perfect and his tags of "hindsight" / Mr Uturn / etc really do raise their heads to regularly.

Will need to watch it again as one Comment by RS had my attention .. need the correct wording to repeat it! it is at about the end of the exchange "getting on with the longterm.......! and that is the key. dont knee jerk it plan it abnd get on with it.

I have/was never / favourable to RS! But you tweaked a thought with your comment ....."We need strong leadership[/QUOTE]" Actually, if strong leadership was the only criteria to place a vote then maybe the answer would not be that hard!

"They are being ultra cautious so as not to scare people off" .... translated into laymans terms = they aint got a clue what to do!
