First of three games where we could really struggle tbh. Three unspectacular teams with that word nous at this level.

Despite that I do wish it wasn't a midweek fixture. Was on my list of grounds I haven't been to that I wanted to target this season and, unpopular opinion probably, I do like Birmingham. Mainly for cricket trips and the food

Rooney's 1st home game in front of the Brum fans, and Liam will be really well up for this battle against his old mucker at Derby. I just hope the players are up for the battle as well. This could be a tasty game and if Gary Gardner gets a game for Brum, he always plays ****e against us, gets wound and sent off - a proper old school midfield nutter.

Feel as if we need something really positive from this one to get back in the frame...They'll be feeling likewise ..Got the feeling of a narrow loss 1-2, or a hard fought even-steven 2-2. I know which one I'd prefer.

Don't care about lineups, we've got loads of good players. We'll play good football and get in their box plenty as always. Just for ****'s sake finish some chances.

As much as people will hate to hear it, this is a 'must not lose' game as much as anything. Would take a draw out of this one to set up for our good home run, but a loss would be very damaging.

Now that's what we needed to know.

That and the greatest ever metal band came from Birmingham but they're more 'villa'

And the greatest ever rock band came from there also, but they're more Wolves.

And Birmingham Council skinted themselves on a bull called Ozzy.

    Cheers Dutch!

Need a win out of the next 2.

We can probably get away with a narrow loss if we beat Preston in front of home support, but we need a win in the next 2.

I think 4 points is reasonable. So win this and draw Preston I reckon.

    As a punt.

We really need something from this game, a draw would be okay, and if we can beat PNE then back on track. I must say, even though we lost against Southampton, having 2 wingers on the pitch we did look better balanced. I wouldn't be surprised to see Macca back in and Greaves at LB and Coyle at RB.

Looked more balanced in attack for 70 mins but we got done a lot on the left flank especially.

Honestly I'd put Greaves out left for the next couple I games and bring Macca back in.

If we're playing 2 marauding wingers we need to underpin them with defenders.

Both Christie and Vinagre are better suited as wing backs, so a 352 would suit if those 2 play IMO.
