It’s a shame about the 2600 allocation, we could’ve sold plenty more.

Good effort to sell out Leicester on Tuesday night too. 3200+ going down. Looking forward to it.

The media kept bigging up the 'incredible Stoke atmosphere' despite Delilah being their only song ... and a pretty stupid one tbh.

    I said it wouldn't last and it didn't <doh>

"The bet365 Stadium, home to "The Potters" is ideally located and known for it's incredible atmosphere."

I will give you a hand mate.

I hate gannin to Stoke. Awful ground, awful atmosphere in my opinion. I have been to as many away games here as perhaps anywhere else due living 40 mins away so I must be an idiot. Have some rough memories of the old Victoria ground and the surrounding area though.

I have some good contacts at the club though and I coached there for a bit. Inside they are a decent bunch and their training facility is class. Their junior setup is very good. I always get tickets in hospitality if I want them but cant go this weekend due to other commitments. I think if we play our game we will pass them to bits, fingers crossed.

Ideally located? Aye, maybe for traffic as it's on the D road, but it's miles out of town in what looks like an Industrial estate

I have remembered a story. Made me chuckle at the time, but probably boring and might give @RTB the hurry up <laugh><laugh>

When I was coaching there I was asked to work with a dev squad for a while. Cant remember when but was when Mark Hughes was in charge and they were mid table prem. The dev squad were being coached at St Georges park, bizarrely, so didnt see much of the Stoke setup. After a while I took them in one night to play sighter matches against the academy lads. They were u14s or u15s I think.

We all turned up, players and parents, an hour before. Hughes had a few words for them. I took them for a bit of a tour of the setup and a security guard, who was a bit of a comedian, said he would do the guided tour. He told the parents all sorts but the one I remember was on one of the full size outdoor pitches for the first team the portable lights were on in each goal mouth. The ones used to get the grass growing. One of the parents asked what the lights were for and he said all goalkeepers are softies and we need to keep the grass warm for them so they dive on warm grass. <laugh><laugh> a couple of parents seemed convinced as well <laugh>

Made me chuckle at the time

I've put this on here because I didn't want to step on RTBs toes with his match thread, violent temper on that lad.

Someone on the match thread posted my 100,000th like for which I'm grateful and to all the others ...

... this is my highest achievement since my cycling proficiency test and 100 yard breast stroke.

Time for a glass of rum to bask in my glory
