And then went to Preston, another direct team that play similarly to Stoke and Millwall.

Not sure why players like Delap and Philogene would prefer playing the Rosie way to one that likes to get the ball forward and behind the defence quickly

It's not his conviction that rubs people the wrong way; it's the way he talks and acts.

Managers are supposed to have conviction and belief in their tactics and methods and philosophy. Rosenior seems to be very defensive and insecure when questioned by the media or fans or whoever about his style of football, which then leads him to come across as arrogant with 'my way or the high way' attitude. I don't have a problem with possession football as a way of playing. I do think Rosenior's brand of possession football leaves a lot to be desired. If he has such conviction in his methods and tactics, he should let the football speak for itself with results.

I'm supporting Liam and the team. Not blindly and I might not like all of it but I am behind him and the squad.

Both Southampton under Russell Martin and City under Rosenior play a similar style of possession-based football, albeit Southampton have a better squad.

Expect lots of short sideways and backwards passes and very little of forwards making runs in behind the other team's defence.

I can't believe I missed Nige off my list of managers who rubbed the fans up the wrong way. <doh>

I suspect he's just getting irritated with the same question being put to him every week, the answers not going to change.

Didn't Tan also state even if Rosenior left the there would be no return to 'direct football' under a new manager anyway.

Even so, it only seems to irk those already irked by the possession style.

We saw Billie Jean in 4th gear the other evening.... I suspect he'll be back to 2nd on Saturday... and Delap will be on the wing...

As was said above. If his style of football produced results at home, entertaining those attending instead of boring their nuts off, then the away thumping and dropping points would see him in a much better light. No one would really doubt his style I suspect. If he was winning at home, he'd be in the top 6 and he wouldn't be questioned and he could focus his comments elsewhere.

We will have the majority of the possession for the first 20 minutes, then Southampton will score.
Then they'll nearly go two up before half time.
Then we'll scrape a draw with 10 minutes to go.
And then run out of steam.
Rosie will be full of praise for the players saying that Southampton have one of the best squads, and that 99% of the time, one of our other chances would have gone in and we'd have got three points instead of one.

We will finish the weekend in 13th position.
