Though perhaps I'm talking bollocks... https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/SWE/sweden/crime-rate-statistics
You'd expect to see that reflected in the numbers, though, and you don't. Immigration rate started spiking in about 1998...you'd expect to see at least a temporary increase in crime rates if immigrants were to blame, and instead you have one of the sharpest periods of decline in the previous graph. https://www.statista.com/statistics/283287/net-migration-figures-of-the-united-kingdom-y-on-y/
My issue wasn't that people didn't want to take it - it is their choice. It was that those in the main (not directed at you BTW Libby) that didn't want to take it were spouting **** about how dangerous it was to take an 'untested' vaccine during an unprecedented global pandemic. Again above, we now see it now as 'fact' that it causes heart problems, when it is an increased risk. Still a very small risk and the risk outweighs the affect of not taking it in most cases. The vaccine was for everyone - we needed a 'one size fits all' to get back to normal. Believe it or not, though we are all humans, our individual body chemistry does differ slightly. There is always going to be those that react differently to things, but it was safe for the masses. I eat peanuts every night (love the KP Paprika ones), but my mate would die if he had them as he is allergic to them. Guess what, on the packet there is a warning 'may contain nuts'. Now do I have a higher risk of dying if I eat them? /Rant
Ha you think that actually deters people? I read a story the other week where a shop kept getting robbed despite the presence of a load of CCTV cameras. It kept getting robbed because the police don't bother with shoplifters any more.
It's not just incorrect, it's absolute bollocks, gleaned from a few sensationalist tabloid horror stories. Someone gets mugged for their Rolex, and in @Osvaldorama 's nightmare fantasy world, you can't wear a nice watch in London. I don't take off my Sinn Flieger when I go to Tottenham. And the only time Ive ever been accosted at a cashpoint was in Wood Green, when a young black lad ran after me, placed his hand on my shoulder...and handed me back my card which I'd left in the machine.
of course. All imagined. No crime anywhere. No terrorist attacks anywhere and I imagined all those people singing “from the river to the sea” in London at the weekend. They were mostly peaceful when they threatened those Jews with knives and told them they wanted to behead them. Diversity is our strength and everything is going fantastically. I find it funny how you can separate the crimes of Hamas from the innocent Palestinians. But suddenly as soon as someone mentions the word immigrants or questions the demographics of crime in this country they are a bigot or racist and judging all immigrants as one. You seem totally unable to comprehend someone wanting harsher punishment on legitimate criminals whilst simultaneously recognising the positives that properly enforced and well-regulated immigration brings. There is a balance to be found. Unfortunately it is you that is living in a fantasy land. Those of us with actual eyes can see we need more police and harsher punishments for criminals. Anyway, we are sort of conflating two issues here. Standard crime & terrorism are separate things in my eyes.
All of the data about actual covid causing myocarditis is weak at best. A lot of the studies were done on vaccinated people. (Lol) I think your analogy is absolutely terrible. It would be more correct to say: Having the covid vaccine was like choosing to sky dive using a parachute which has never been inspected for wear & tear. Also, this admission of myocarditis is the first of many admissions which will emerge. They are still covering up as much as possible but slowly we are seeing so many vaccine related injuries so severe that it is becoming impossible to ignore. This doesnt even cover the alarming rise in all-cause mortalities, infertility issues and other blood clot related diseases.
No, the data shows pretty clearly that myocarditis is increased in people with Covid. It is more likely in people with the mRNA vaccine though, that is clear. I kind of agree with you that young people were thrown under the bus a bit by the vaccinations. That said, the vaccines saved more lives than they took. And they got us out of lockdowns. It is just a balancing act and not a conspiracy.
I couldn’t disagree more that they saved more lives than they took, especially in those under 30. Under 30 there was mathematically close to zero risk of death from covid. Almost everyone that took the shot is now at risk of heart damage, blood clots and fertility issues and we are yet to see the long term damage caused by the spike proteins. Unfortunately it looks likely to lead to many problems down the road. Regardless you and others owe me an apology for the way I was spoken to on here now that there is definitive proof that the vaccines are in fact causing heart damage.
"Having the covid vaccine was like choosing to sky dive using a parachute which has never been inspected for wear & tear." Nonsense, absolute nonsense, as is you assertion that "they" (whoever "they" are) are covering up. You post as though there has been an recent admissions of myocarditis danger, not so, warnings were in place from the initial vaccinations. I took care to check all possibilities being in a vulnerable category, I had the the first of my five jabs end of April 2021 with this warning in place on a number of medical and scientific sites worldwide:- "There have been very rare reports of myocarditis and pericarditis occurring after vaccination with Comirnaty often in younger men and shortly after the second dose of the vaccine. These are typically mild cases and individuals tend to recover within a short time following standard treatment and rest. Healthcare professionals should be alert to the signs and symptoms of myocarditis and pericarditis. Vaccinated individuals should also seek immediate medical attention should they experience new onset of chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations or arrhythmias." I searched for the Pfizer warning leaflet you posted (without a publication date) with no success, please post a link. There have been many similar articles and peer reviewed papers published as this below "Published August 19, 2021" https://www.nebraskamed.com/COVID/were-the-covid-19-vaccines-rushed "In a first for vaccine development, two COVID-19 vaccines were created, evaluated and authorized for emergency use in under a year. Despite the fast timeline, these vaccines went through the appropriate clinical trials, just like other vaccines before. The CDC continues to closely monitor these vaccines for safety and efficacy." please log in to view this image How did the vaccines get developed so quickly? The vaccine developers did not cut corners. Rather, a true global emergency paired with early application of substantial resources made it possible. 1. A smart head start Researchers need to do a lot of academic research and pre-clinical work to make medical products such as vaccines. In this case, SARS-CoV-2 was a new virus, but it belongs to a family of viruses with similar traits. Scientists had studied other coronaviruses for 50 years. They already knew that the spike protein could be targeted by a vaccine, which gave them a goal to work toward immediately. 2. A decade of mRNA vaccine research Researchers have been developing and researching an mRNA vaccine platform for over 10 years. After SARS-CoV-2 was sequenced, it took just a few days to make the mRNA vaccine candidates. The spike protein’s genetic code was plugged into preexisting technology with an already working process that had been evaluated for other vaccine uses, such as in the fight against dengue. 3. Participants enrolled in the trials quickly Large scale vaccine clinical trials were organized quickly using networks established in the pursuit of an HIV vaccine. People enrolled quickly due to widespread public interest. Plus, the virus has been spreading rapidly, so regulators could see if vaccine candidates made a difference in a shorter amount of time. 4. Building facilities ahead of time The U.S. Federal government and others pre-built manufacturing facilities for several different vaccines before knowing if they would be approved. Typically, vaccine manufacturers wait until after phase 3 has been completed, and licensure is expected to spend so much money on these types of facilities. 5. Overlapping phases Regulators at the Food and Drug Administration and those involved in making these vaccines already had seen scientific results on the mRNA vaccine platform. So researchers could focus their questions on animal models and early human trials so that they were completed more quickly. In some instances, there was an overlap of certain study phases. 6. Expedited review As part of its review process, the FDA re-analyzes the data that companies provide. This double-checking process is reassuring because a neutral party independently evaluates the claims made by the manufacturers. It can take six to nine months for new treatments to get through this process. The FDA compressed the review timeline to weeks with people working nights, days and weekends on parallel teams. Risk versus reward There are no silver bullets in medicine, and these COVID-19 vaccines are no exception. Every medication, treatment and vaccine carries risk. Cancer patients undergo chemotherapy, which is physically and emotionally taxing because the alternative of untreated cancer can be far worse. Using antibiotics to treat a bacterial infection can cause side effects like nausea, diarrhea and cramping. However, millions of people have received the COVID-19 vaccines so far, and the sometimes unpleasant side effects appear worth the decreased risk of contracting COVID-19. Some adverse effects are more severe for people with allergies, for instance. When in doubt, people should consult with their physician. There may be additional vaccine options available over time. The number of lives lost to COVID-19 in the United States is over 600,000. After understanding the risks and the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine, it is ultimately your choice to decide whether you want it or not. Regardless of your decision to get a COVID-19 vaccine, these are essential aspects of all of our work to stop the pandemic: Mask use Physical and social distancing Being mindful of when you or others are ill and of crowded settings Personal and environmental hygiene Participation in active screening Following quarantine and isolation guidelines Supporting others who choose to get the COVID-19 vaccines
Me? I think you are misremembering this as I was always a lockdown critic. I felt it was a middle-class and ageist pursuit that punished the young and the poor. I don't think I have ever got heavily on to the vaccine argument. Except that I am by nature a moderate and would still point out that we didn't have much choice if we wanted to get the world going again.
Apologies then. The sad part is this is only what they’re admitting now. There are many more things which they are currently trying to avoid talking about. I hope the pharmaceutical executives and government officials that lied and misrepresented data will get their day in court eventually.
Just verbal diarrhoea and manipulated stats as usual. For many years the “data” said that smoking was good for you. Data and statistics can be manipulated to basically present any picture you like. Especially when it comes to health outcomes as it is so hard to track correctly thanks to life introducing many variables. “They’” are the global pharmaceutical companies, lobbyists and politicians who all had a financial incentive to get drugs to market and keep people paying for them, without thinking about the implications on healthy young adults or alternative solutions which could have prevented thousands upon thousands of myocarditis and deaths.
But the bit in bold simply isn't true. There is no definitive proof. There is a warning that a possible side effect is heart damage. On a similar note, do you drink any form of alcohol? There are years and years of definitive proof that alcohol can cause heart damage. Do you have a beer and think "****! I'm now going to get heart damage"? Possible side effect. A link. Important inference in the sentence. Not definitive proof like the years of study of alcohol. To me, the fact that people daily willingly drink ethanol with flavours and water is a lot more dangerous than a jab. Especially as there is unequivocal evidence proving that excess (or even moderate) drinking will cause heart issue, liver issues, mental issues and so on. Just one glass of wine or beer takes 2-3 days for the chemicals and the chemical effects to fully exit your body. The only difference is society (though this is changing) and marketing that makes us believe it is safe and normal. Just like cigarettes in the 50s. Not singling you out Os, but merely trying to show you that there is yet to be definitive proof. I keep saying as well, that the pandemic was unprecedented. There was no 'book' on how to handle it. Mistakes and victories were going to be made. IMO it wasn't sinister vaccinating people.

Alcohol analogy is a poor one. It wasn’t forced into the young population. Plus you drink to get drunk. The covid vaccine wasn’t safe, nor was it effective
