Don't be fooled by that display, you could see Fiji were weighed down by the expectation of almost making tge quarters. Now the pressure is off them, and they will go hell for leather v England. I expect to see them back to their rampant best in the quarters, we'll have to play very well to beat them !
I agree that they played as if they had the World on their shoulders …. but I fully expect that England will win
Basic translation... Scotland threw away game in early part, but would've chased it down Ireland are a great team I've been pissed out of my face for five weeks
Looks like Dawson agrees with me regarding Ford and Farrell ! Don't think Borthwick will have the nuts to bench Farrell though
Still 4,600 tickets available for the England v Fiji quarter final in Marseilles and through official channels not touts. Also tickets available for the Wales game. Both the Paris QFs complete sell outs. Seems that Borthwick’s England haven’t captured the imagination or wallets of the travelling fans. Although the English made a great noise in the game against Argentina.
Looked it up. No specific reason apparently and some considerable confusion over what the song is about.
It was written as a response to the Warrington bombing. Some see it as anti-IRA but I think it's just anti-terrorist or anti-war. A surprising choice for Ireland rugby fans, but I'd say quite appropriate for supporters of a team representing the whole of Ireland.
It’s a strange choice as it was written after the Warrington bombing when the IRA planted two indiscriminate bombs in two bins that killed two children. One out to buy a Mother’s Day card. She wrote it saying it’s not in her name. Taken as an anti IRA tune.
I cannot find any link between sunshine on the leith and the Warrington bombing, can some one point me in the right direction. It's links to Hibs FC are very different
