England are being a bit thick here. Why attack Boult and Henry when they are clearly their two best bowlers? Poor from Livingstone. Both don't have many overs left so no need for that shot.

Are we? Won't be able to judge that until NZ start batting. Besides which 239-7 could become 280-7 very quickly.

 

A check of average ODI scores at this ground puts it at 235, so we have bettered the average.
Also a tendency for teams that bat first to win.

Average for second is 203.

 

I think it is a harder to pitch to bat on than is being made out. We won’t know until NZ have their go.
