Fair point. But for me, Rosie dropped a big bollock not playing a natural left back at left back. Should have changed it at half time at the very least and I was gobsmacked he didn't.

Vinagre can't play 3 games in 8 days IMO. He seems a bit fragile when he's on the pitch. Could have played Greaves LB and Macca alongside Jones, though.

This is what I expected to happen. It was the easy way to solve the Greaves/Macca problem.

I was surprised but apart from Liam knowing far more about football than myself or anyone on here ever will, he also has the advantage that he sees these players day in, day out on the training pitch and is privy to very detailed medical info and statistics far beyond anything we will ever get to see.
What really makes me laugh is some on here claiming he is arrogant, while at the same time actually believing they know more than he does.

I'm not sure what point you're making there... Having that level of involvement and insight doesn't mean he can't make the wrong call. It also doesn't mean others can't think he's got something wrong based on what they've seen during the game. If this isn't the place to air that out...

I don't personally think he's arrogant, but I do think he should have changed things at half time when we were getting dusted down both flanks. He took Traore off but didn't notice Coyle struggling. At the very least swap him and Christie over so we're only weaker on the one side.

All of the above being said we had far bigger problems on the night, across the board.

No, the arrogance jibe wasn’t aimed at you.
After the first half showing, I had suggested on here that he could bring Macca on, move Greaves across, Coyle to RB and push Christie further up. He didn’t and I accept he will have had a good reason for not doing so, with the benefit of a huge wealth of knowledge and wisdom supporting him which I don’t possess. You may not have agreed with my changes. I don’t agree with yours. I’m sure Liam AND COACHING TEAM will have considered them all. At the end of the day, he is currently getting most calls right. I find the lack of respect on here for him quite remarkable

I'm sure many a politician knows far more about the state of the country and economy than most on here do, and many experts know far more about multiple topics also, and they'll have valid ideas how to solve problems. None of that excludes others from having an opinion that differs, or having ideas that may perhaps be better. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

You just need educating on the lack of respect for him, which I find quite disappointing.

I’m not convinced a politician knows much about anything other than who’s paying the most money into their bank account.

Have you ever had a better idea about anything?

Whatever way you spin it, the fact we let Elder go, brought in 2 new LBs and yet prefer to play Coyle at LB is a travesty.

To some extent I agree. So far the Vinagre signing hasn't worked out and that is a disappointment. Hopefully he finds some form soon.

It seems Liam has not settled on his best team yet. For me, partnerships on the pitch needed to be developed, and chopping and changing isn't going to achieve this.

Personally, I would like to see us play with 2 wingers, Lokilo and or Sinik on the left and Philogene on the right. Behind them play Vinagre regularly behinds Lokilo and or Sinik and Coyle behind Philogene. Let them get used to playing with each other.

Christie legs look as if they have gone, he is very slow and can't get back to quickly enough.

In fairness Lokilo has been injured.

Guess that was aimed at me.
So, I (and others) are not allowed an opinion on selections, tactics, how we played, etc without it making us arrogant?
His arrogance in my view is more to do with what he says & how he comes across. To me there's a sort of smugness and arrogance about him, not simply a confidence (which can be a good thing). The arrogance opinion was added to when he failed once again to recognise that he'd made mistakes (which seemed obvious to many of us going by the the comments on here) but instead blamed the players for "not being at it from the first minute" and "giving the ball away cheaply". Hardly deflecting the pressure from the players, just from himself. Of course he knows more about the players and tactics than us, but as others have said, that doesn't mean he can't make mistakes.
