how is there that much space? for the goalscorer

and christie had a nightmare again.

They had a man advantage when Delap pressed the keeper and the ball got fed out to the left full back area. Traore, Seri and Christie all made life easy for Ipswich to pass around them. Hard to point blame at the defenders who were naturally defending their goal and not picking up a player who had drifted past our entire midfield.

So nowhere near ready that he's sat on the bench for the last three matches. Quit making negative stuff up will you?

It's not making negative stuff up, how many minutes has he got? How many times has a non LB played ahead of him?

He's on the bench ATM due to lack of numbers, you don't have to believe it, it's no skin of my nose. But the lads nowhere near ready for first team championship football

To be fair, it always looks bad on a still. I don't think those players are doing anything too crazy. They have to cover the box and as we were already pulled out of shape there's going to be a gap somewhere.

The problem comes from on the halfway line when they get the ball through. We almost intercepted it but not quite. And it starts from their keeper being brave on the ball and taking Delap and Connelly out of the game so they only have our midfield and defence to play through instead of a full 11. Same thing we do often starting from our keeper.

Funny old game I could have sworn we'd lost the ball, and with Christie up field we were left light at the back, at least that's how it replayed in my.nightmare lol.

I think the quote being accused of 'negative' stated that you had said he's 'not ready for any level' of football in reference to a question about his inclusion in the u21's.

It was stated when he came in he'd be a developer as opposed to first team ready, but cave replied to a question about his use in the u21's by misquoting you. Obviously the reason he's not been in the 21s of late is because he's been needed for numbers on the 1st team bench, same with Coyle, Sinik and Sellars-Flemming.

The implication was that he's not even ready for the 21s.

Which is made up negative crap.

Not sure I said any level originally, but if I did or what I put implied that then that's my mistake. I ment our first team

I checked your quote as I remember you saying it, and you didn't say 'any level' at all. You were misquoted by someone who has form with trying to portray everything in as negative light as possible, hence the accusation of 'made up crap' .

Cheers, I was sure hadn't haha

Agree with your first part but on Coyle at left back, this is another one of those things where fans just seem obsessed with something that people in the game clearly think differently on. And people can't just take moment to consider that maybe the pro football managers might know better. It really isn't that unusual to see someone play on their 'wrong' side and Coyle is actually pretty two-footed anyway. He's picked there ahead of Vinagre because he's seen as the best option currently as Vinagre has been disappointing so far. If it was that important to have a left footer there then we'd be doing it every game.

Whatever way you spin it, the fact we let Elder go, brought in 2 new LBs and yet prefer to play Coyle at LB is a travesty.

I've seen Coyle score with his left foot from outside the box and seen him cross with his left foot numerous times, including getting assists so I would say he is two footed, Whether he is as good at left back as at right, I'm not so certain.

Similar happened multiple times, including their 1st goal too.
IMO it's as I posted in the early hours after the match. Rosenior set us up all wrong, with an 'up top 4' who were never going to track back + 2 in CM who for some odd reason were pressing too high and often together, both without the raw pace to recover + a RB playing at LB. All this against a team playing like Ipswich have been doing. It was suicide, madness.
But no, according to Rosenior the problems were that the players "weren't at it from the first minute" and the players "gave it away cheaply". Ipswich played well but Rosenior made it so much easier for them.

Coyle was given **** for this but Greaves was marking no one, and then just off screen to the right (City’s left) Coyle had had to drift inside and was covering two players. He didn’t know whether to twist or stick.
Oops, thought it was their first goal! Both times we were badly stretched.

I specifically kept an eye on this and what you're saying couldn't be more wrong. They slaughtered us down both wings. Once Vinagre came on he prevented 4 crosses coming in from our left. Literally no more came in from that side once Vinagre came on. Coyle seemed incredibly reluctant to use his left foot to say he's supposedly two footed. Not having a go at Coyle here, but he should be starting at RB. He's right footed, he's got ability and a very decent right foot. He shouldn't be stifled at left back.

Early on, the Ipswich summarisers (one was Darren Ambrose) were saying they had tweaked the press to force us to play out to Coyle and then him to play out with his left peg.

To be fair, they had pretty much declared by then. Damage done and both teams had half an eye on the weekend. Plus we had a more solid (defensively) midfield.

Fair point. But for me, Rosie dropped a big bollock not playing a natural left back at left back. Should have changed it at half time at the very least and I was gobsmacked he didn't.
