VAR, or it's equivalent, works well in the following Sports ---

CRICKET
TENNIS
RUGBY
RUGBY LEAGUE

So, WHY is it so riddled with contraversial decisions in Football?

PERHAPS, if the Video Assistants were told ONLY to look at 'clear and obvious errors that affected the Game', rather that offsides by a millmetre, things would be better.
Yeah and when is it handball and when is it not
Just when they intervene and say so

It needs to be more consistent , players should have some responsibility in the var decisions ie as in cricket maybe, it could be used to stamp out the shirt pullers for instance IF it was used responsibly. Shirt pullers are more and more by the day and its ruining the game for teams that try to play football instead of the Coventry style kick and chase which the pundits seem to adore. Maybe we all should play like that.
Penalty in one game for hitting his elbow while his body was turned away
No penalty hitting elbow facing the ball
These var decisions always favour the big money orientated clubs
That’s what it was brought in for

That’s it it’s know where near enough consistent

The refs were bad enough for this, but now they have however many of them reviewing footage trying to go back to find a reason to dissalow a goal against Liverpool or a reason to give them a penalty!

It's blatant, the Premier league brand needs to see these teams winning as its what brings in the foreign TV money!

Yeah much my opinion also

I think the main problem is the people working the var don’t make the decisions on impulse
They study it for too long looking for tiny irrelevant point before they inform the ref to stop the game
Why is the linesman there he make no decisions if he is clearly offside raise the flag
If you not sure keep it down
Incedently that was always the case

Well 2 mag players were offside when the free kick was took and one of them scored mind the Villa goalie should have been off but they were abject and heading for the championship

load of crap
The players are all asking for var at all incidents
Should be used for goal line technology only

It was always going to be like this. Horrible, deeply flawed, artificial, unfairly used, abomination. It is ruining the game.

Almost certainly devised by a combination of people who have never paid to see a team play regularly, and probably the biggest clubs just to give them that tiny bit more leverage in some games.

I'd say we see the latter quite often, when those certain clubs get VAR decisions go for them that other clubs wouldn't get. The latest farcical decision being when Utd's keeper smoked a Wolves player miles away from the ball a couple of weeks ago. Penalty every time at the other end that.

The thing here is that Dean is comfortable admitting this. He'll be comfortable because he knows he's not the only one.

As a manager I would be sacked. That debacle re: the Man u one i would have told my team to walk off.

From what I can gather VAR is working quite well on the continent and would be working here if it wasnt for incompetenr/corrupt officials.

I’m still unsure of these var stupid rules
Casimaro was offside when the cross came in
However he was onside when he received
The pass and it was still in the same incedent
So you can come from offside then receive
The ball when you are onside
