They're playing a relegation battling team in the 3rd tier, so it wouldn't surprise me. He may not actually get on the pitch, though. They're away to Leipzig, who are a point behind them, on Saturday. Then they've got a Champions League game in Copenhagen on Tuesday. Resting him tonight would be sensible, as they still should win easily.
Because every day has to have some sort of ****storm for Chelsea and/or Man Utd. Added bonus: he wasn't even in the squad, but the bloke that replaced him got sent off.
The Ajax v Feyenoord game that was called off the other day was finished today. It recommenced at 0-3, finished 0-4 and allowed a record to be broken: It's probably the slowest hat-trick of all time, too. Got two on Sunday and one today.
Arne time. Sounds like something from The Terminator. Next bald manager in Manchester? please log in to view this image
Villa's male and female teams have got an issue with their kit: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66932993 Brentford ****ed their kit off a lot last season because of this, apparently. It's especially bad for the women, for obvious reasons, but it's just poor overall. The players are carrying a load of extra weight for no reason. How did this not get dealt with in pre-season at the very latest?
Ajax tonked 4-0 at home by Feyenoord today, apparently playing their B-team Bloody hell have they ****ed up badly this season
I see Brighton are playing against their B team in the EFL cup this evening. Didn't know that was allowed under the rules.
What're the odds that Ipswich get the book thrown at them for fielding a weakened team (which still won...) in the Season Killer Cup last night, but nothing happens to Saltypool or The Sheikh Mansour Team for doing the exact same thing?
Some interesting subs tonight…. Brooking on the bench for Chelsea - desperate times call for desperate measures. Dobbin on Everton’s bench - which shows that not every donkey is an automatic selection for them But the real blockbuster is Sweet for Arsenal
Coventry is on the bench for West Scam Surely that's against the rules, bringing on a city with a population of 345,000 to try and see out a match
