Yeah I've heard something about this, I think one of the big social media platforms were going to use encryption, can't remember who. I expect the cops were worried about people like terrorists using it.

If you remember back to the early days of mobile phones, you used to be able to pick up a pay as you go mobi in somewhere like Woolworths, and there was never no trace back to the user.

I think it was after one of the bomb attacks, something like 7/7 attacks, they tightened up on them, well might be wrong but you get my logic.

There are still messaging services like Whatsapp which use encryption.

Things like burner phones are dodgy as fck and I can understand why there's tighter regulation on knowing who owns mobiles.

There is a difference between being a perv and a predator.
Most red blooded males perve over women, only the twisted use their power/position to abuse them.

These are a good…..now tell me why politicians are lobbying media platforms to get something done against someone who hasn’t even been arrested let alone found guilty at a court of law

I applaud rumble for its freedom of speech platform

Now for politicians to be screaming that brand is sexually evil I’d say take a look at those convicted of sex crimes that currently exist or they have set next to previously in parliament….there was also groups including Harriet Harmon that were trying to drop the legal age of consent to 12

but I get the frenzy from the public the little fish are trying too feed on anything that fills thy empty sad lives

1984 two minutes of hate <laugh>

The very Easily led public is getting embarrassing and even worse apathetic to those imposing the totalitarian future aligned with china and co

“There were relatively few secret police, and most were just processing the information coming in. I had found a shocking fact. It wasn’t the secret police who were doing this wide-scale surveillance and hiding on every street corner. It was the ordinary German people who were informing on their neighbors.”—Professor Robert Gellately, author of Backing Hitler

First they came for my dad's cheeseburger and I did nothing, then they came for my nan's cheeseburger and I did nothing, then they came for my kids' cheeseburgers and I did nothing. Then they came for my cheeseburger, in fact they all did cos I was the only one left with a cheeseburger, the bastrds.

I told them to fck off and get their own.

Everyone has a skeleton in the closet. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or has just forgot about it behind the pile of unwanted Christmas presents.

I also believe, if you dig hard enough you can find a time where every person on earth has broken a law, knowingly or unknowingly... we've not all killed the au pair, but we've all done something; the law is too complex for anyone to go through life without ever breaking something even if unintentionally. If police have too much access to everything we say, do, and write, without just cause they can target individuals for harassment for political or personal reasons. Dig hard enough and you can find a reason to throw anyone in jail.

I knew all about the workings of the coppers, along with the youth borstals and prison systems. I can honestly say I wouldn't be stupid enough to put something in writing that I thought would incriminate me. Much like grasses not keeping their mouths shut, which is a lot worse than anything you could put in writing yourself, just sounds like paranoia to me. I'm sure I've even said to a few individuals on here over the course of time I've been on here, to be careful what they divulge, it's commonsense with or without the new legislation. Coppers will even stop you on the street, if they are concerned you were a suspect they are looking for due to a crime within the near vicinity, and so they allow you to go on your way, they will ask to look through your phone to prove who you are, along with other stuff, they do that there and then without any legislation, 'to make your life easier' or you go down the old bill shop with them, which might be inconvenient if you are off out somewhere. Anyway they aint got enough cells to chuck everyone. <laugh>

I'm not worried about them throwing EVERYONE in jail. I'm worried about them having their pick to find an easier way to get an excuse to throw ANYONE in jail.

Back in the old soviet days, they would deliberately make a lot of laws that were easy to break, so that they could easily find a way to "legitimately" throw someone in jail who they just suspected of being a dissident... Now, obviously that's not what is happening here, but it opens the door for other forms of corruption.

I think I just look at it like this, we are already in the process of nearing a digital currency, where every transaction in your life will be digitally stamped. We are already using mobile phones that most probably have their location set to on, so again digitally time stamping everywhere you go. We are already the most CCTV'd island in the world (probably). We already have automatic number plate recognition, and various forms of road charging, that digitally track everywhere you go with your vehicle. I really don't think we could hand many more controls over to the government, so the last thing I'm going to worry about is the written word of me discussing with my mate what pub we are going to meet at before the game.

I'm less worried about it for myself rather than others. I tend to not mention all my various criminal activities online <laugh>
