Most Hull fans are Leeds fans anyway so that would make sense.

Had to think about this one. Is this one of those "Hull" is the name of the rugby team type of things?.

Think that's a sign of being a closet rugby fan. Similar level of idiocy. If anyone said Hull in relation to sport, it wouldn't occur to me to think of Rugby. The Rugby team are FC to me.

Hull are always City in my head.

You’re gonna upset some folks with that post.

I think it's an older person's way of looking at it. When I hear 'Hull' I assume it's about us, and it's either a non-local or a "he bought the club, he can do what he wants" type.

When somebody says "Leicester" are they referring to football or rugby?
Football obviously.

Like Hull, I wouldn't even think of Rugby. To be fair, I can't remember having a conversation about Rugby Union ever with anyone, so it just wouldn't occur to me.

I have heard of Leicester Tigers, Harlequins, London Irish, Saracens and er.... yeah. That's it off the top my head and I'm sure thats from when they used to show the results on the vidiprinter while I was waiting for the footie.

Until I saw the thread again yesterday I'd forgotten there was a Rugby World cup going on. I am totally oblivious to it.

In the local area it's City, if someone from elsewhere were to ask who I support I'd reply 'Hull'. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

When I worked in Leeds years ago in the Revie days if anyone said they were to watch Leeds they meant the rugby league team. They always said they were going to watch United if going to football.
Same in Hull. I would always say I was going to City and assume anyone saying Hull was going to FC.

Always tell people from elsewhere I support Hull City. None of this Allamesque nonsense about shortening names.
