The attendance figures this season for Henderson's new team ... (the two highest are the state owned clubs) • Al-Nassr (H) – 13,930 • Al Hazem (A) – 1,024 • Al Khaleej (H) – 4,200 • Al Hilal (A) – 13,656 • Damac (H) – 2,281 • Abha (A) – 976
Check it out. Their highest ever attendance was 15, 670 v Al Hilal on 11 May 2022, lowest 907 v Al Batin 14 August 2021.
Imagine trading European nights at anfield for 900 people stood watching, clapping politely but not really arsed
That's what I thought. I didn't believe it when I first read it earlier so I went and checked it out. They played an away game last season to less than 500 fans.
see that's not true here. rainbow laces is a mere infidel servant dog paid to run about so he only knows the so called fans who bother turn up as sir.
I wonder if they where aware of this before they went, or their agent just waved wads of money at them to distract from the **** show they have walked into.
none of then have a right to whinge everyone of them should know of stories about players going the China and playing on terrible pitches, not getting paid etc etc there's more than enough stories predating this massive splurge of money to give players pause. they all decided to go for it so are all retirees and dead to me.
Can’t think any of them care about the attendance? I’d happily take half what they earn to play infront of 1 man and his dog on a park
It's why it's really hard to believe it when they say they're not going for the money. It's a meaningless league with no relevance outside of it's immediate area.
So football isn't about the fans then? And every time the players said they were playing for the fans, they were lies too.
Haven’t heard any of the players going to Saudi saying they’re playing for the fans? Not sure why attendance has to do with it being about the fans? Does playing in league 2 not count cos only have 1,000 fans at games?
You wouldn't see an international (half decent nation) join as league two side either Personally, I'd rather play for ****all and thousands of fans than get paid such vast sums. And that's now when I've not got the millions they've already got before moving.
I've seen various match reports, who's scored for the 5th time etc, but that seems to have died off now. I'm not sure the saudis understand its about the team rather than the players. You can sign who you want, but you'll never be able to pay for that fervent support that teams have.
Maybe from your current standpoint. But can you imagine running out in front of the kop, listening to them singing your name, experiencing the highs and lows with 50000 other people and then swapping it all to play in an empty stadium. I'd rather play in the conference with passionate fans than have 500 millioannaires clap in between eating their butties.
