If it’s true for Cirkin I do feel sorry for him. It’s the thing that’s going to stop him getting recognised higher up if he keeps getting injuries that keep him out for a few weeks

These injury rumours have been slightly off in the past. I hope that's the case today and just one player is out.

The club put a tweet out saying who would you like to see in the team with pictures of Burstow and Aouchiche.

Personally think you’re mad to change a team that’s won 5-0 but wouldn’t be surprised if Burstow did start after the way TM was speaking about him during the week especially if there’s an injury.

Huggins in for Cirkin and Pritchard for Dack. Otherwise, I'd go unchanged and look to bring one or two of our new attacking players on around the 60 minute mark.

They'll defend deep and allow us to play in front of them, but try and catch us on the counter. It might take a bit of time to break them down, but I think we'll run away with it at the end.

    0-3, Jobe, Bustow (2)

Burstow for Dack the only change to the team and Roberts coming in only change to the bench (no Rusyn or Aouchiche) according to someone who seems very confident and sure about it on RTG.

would be very pleased with that if true. Would start Roberts myself but equally happy if they reward Ba with keeping his place. Think letting the squad players know that if they do well they keep their place is going to be important to keeping this large squad both happy and motivated

Wound up to hell for this game but in a good way. 3 pints of crap hotel beer hasn't damped my anxiety. It's not that I'm worried about this game - well kinda - but I just can't wait to see these lads play again! I'm 55 and haven't felt this excited about watching Sunderland since I was a kid!

Confusion reigns. More reputable posters on there are now saying Cirkin not in the squad and Aouchiche and Burstow on the bench.
    Sorry if I’m spreading misinformation.

You’d have to assume that that means Roberts and Huggins come into the team for Dack and Cirkin respectively.

Only 25 minutes until we know for sure. This is what an international break after a good result and an exciting transfer window does to me!!

Woke up this morning thinking, right, I’m going to be really productive today. 20,000 page refreshes later and here I am, waiting 12 minutes for the team news to come out.
