One of Hugo, Dier or Sessegnon are very lucky in my eyes as Lyons-Foster could’ve had a spot in their place. Out of respect for Hugo I’m happy to have him as part of the squad if he’s happy to be here but the other two… let’s just say not so much.
Vicario talked him up a week or so ago for being a great mentor in training
TBH so many clubs use their second or third-choice keeper as a free HG spot now

Caoimhin Kelleher at Saltypool
Tom Heaton at Man Utd
Marcus Bettinelli at Chelsea
Jason Steele at Brighton
All of them, barring Kelleher, have played hundreds of games, though.
Heaton played 200 for Burnley alone, for example. I think he counts as CG, too.
Kelleher's played less league games than Whiteman
...true, Whiteman's were in the AllSvenskan, but given Saltypool expect £20m+ for somebody with a handful of Season Killer Cup games we really should think of ways to inflate the price of our youngsters
The failure to get enough academy players through who would fill those HG spots is the issue
This is clearly true, but we'd also be ok if a couple of them were out on loan.
It wouldn't surprise me if a few more U21s were loaned in January
