Thought Kipper's first post for a while would be a reflection on the transfer window and how he might have actually been wrong on a couple of points made earlier. But no, it's a dig at another supporter. Class.

Hang on, I didn't think that at all. Predictable.

Time you found a happy place Kipper because that certainly isn't on this board or anything SAFC. Your sanity will thank you for it.

Good post mate. I watched the game in my local. They stopped serving when the game ended because a group of young uns who couldn’t take their beer or being beaten were starting to cause bother. Don’t remember walking home because I was so stunned by the result.

This is off subject but Redbaron, in his post about being in London for the Charlton play-off final and going into a club that had a piano jogged a memory of when, as a still naive19 year old squaddy, I visited Soho while passing through on leave. Curious about the drinking dives, I went into one which, of course, was in a dilapidated cellar. I was sitting alone with a very, very expensive pint when the pianist left his piano and came over to me and asked if I was in the army (I don’t know how he guessed as I was in civvies). When I told him I was, he warned me to finish my drink and leave because “this isn’t a nice place”. Before I could finish my drink a young woman came over to my table, sat down and placed her drink on the table. Taking the pianists advice, I finished my drink and got up to leave. A middle aged woman who had been keeping an eye on proceedings hurried over and told me that I couldn’t leave until i paid for the “lady’s” drink. I told her that I hadn’t ordered the “lady’s” drink and was not going to pay for it. I pushed past her and started up the stairs. She then started screaming at the bloke on the door to stop me. The lad was about the same age as me (maybe a few years older) He stepped out of his cubicle and barred my way. I’m only 5’7” and at the time weighed around 10 stones and he was bigger, but I was so angry that I stared into his eyes and thought to myself “I’m going to blast straight through you.” By this time I had a head of steam up and my plan was to slam into him and at the same time try to twist him around, which would put me door-side of him, and then run like f..k! I couldn’t believe it when he broke eye contact and slid back into his cubicle. In a blink, I was out that door and running. I could still hear that woman screaming and screeching at him 200 yards down the road.I never again went into one of those places.

You’d imagine there’ll be an uptick in social media content from the club this week with pics of the new lads training etc, hopefully starting today.

I’m not sure how many days off the players were given last week, it felt a bit like the whole place was a bit shell shocked (probably the wrong term) and recovering from the manic Thursday to Saturday of the week before.

You'd assume any other lads not on International duty would be back today or tomorrow.
Ballard and Hume played yesterday, so maybe Tues/Weds for them?
Costa Rica are playing in Croatia tonight, so end of the week for Bennette?
Rigg/Bellingham would be back with the main squad you'd assume as they played Sat

No idea re Triantis - Aus u23s are playing tomorrow in Tajikistan

Mowbray said after the last game that the players would have a couple of days off, then be in training last week, then have a "long weekend" before coming back together this week.

Whether the long weekend was friday-sunday or saturday-monday is unknown.

Was talking to a mate who’s Leeds and he reckons they went in for him late in the window but it didn’t materialise, maybe because Gnonto didn’t leave or they left it too late. Loan with a £20m optional fee was mentioned. Not sure how true mind I’ve never bothered to try and verify it but a £20m fee seems quite low so I think it’s bollocks.

I think they'll all be back in tomorrow...Tony seemed to indicate a long weekend off. As far as the International lads are concerned, first thing is they come back fit.:emoticon-0107-sweat Ballard had a knock, but played against a no-hope Russian Republic,in a no-hope cause,so I'm hoping he's not been sacrificed! :emoticon-0107-sweat
Would think Jewi and the two young lads will be back in by Wednesday. Not sure about Nectar.
