Not mag related but whenever I hear Saudi Arabia I think Newcastle and vice versa.

"Reports suggested Henderson was being paid £700,000-per-week - four times what he was earning at Liverpool - but he denied those claims.

"People can believe me or not, but in my life and my career, money has never been a motivation. Ever," he said."

Alright then you fecking liar <laugh>

I'll bet half of those ****s never went to games before the Saudis took over
“What d’ya mean like, wu’ve always had thoosands on tha waiting list ya knar”

One of the. In the pub on Saturday literally saud Trippier was their biggest soend. He even argued that fact when I mentioned Bruno and Isak! Even refuting that they were signed before the takeover!! Even Ernest evidence in his face!!! They literally think it’s true that they’ve spent nowt!!

Oh and when I quoted how much it “wasn’t as much as Chelsea” so that makes it ok!!

He's a daft ****, lost all respect for him before that interview and now I actively dislike him

Same here unfortunately.

Also had the nerve to wheel out this old bullshit: "Talking about what persuaded him to head to Saudi Arabia, Henderson said he was attracted by the prospect of trying to grow the game he loves in another country and said nothing would change by criticising another country from afar while burying "our heads in the sand".

While admitting that he's not going to wear rainbow laces or armband because he doesn't want to be disrespectful. So he's not actually going to do a damn thing.

I know one mag fan who pays so he can get on the waiting list so if any tickets become available he then gets the chance to buy them before they go on general sale

And he still gets picked for England. I wonder whose decision that was?

It may have been a sensible one.

It's possible thay within a few years more than a few of the England Team will be based in The Middle East.

No point in THe FA 'burning it's boats' at this early stage.
I’m wondering whether the Saudis allegedly wanting to be in IEFA so they can enter the Champions League and raise their profile is because they can then franchise Newcastle and move them out there?

That or they took one look at the self-entitled, two-faced, history revision era and thought sod them we’ll just use our money to do our own thing.

There will never be a League in the Middle East that us competitive enough for players to be international ready.

It's too hot, there is no on the ground football infrastructure, there is no real feeling for football apart from watching big names on the TV, no genuine competition. Even the teams in Saudi are put together by external decision.

They will keep picking up money grubbers who are past it or not likely to make it at the top level. Then, in a few years time, they will either get the World Cup in which case they will keep up the pretence of interest until they've hosted it, or they don't ( by 2034) and they'll give it up.

I've never heard of such a thing mind! Even at really big clubs like Liverpool and Utd, who for decades have not had enough room.

Could be talking ****e there!
