Of course it will. You think he can go on living the life he has right now by not earning any extra money? No chance.

It very much is a life changing amount of money

    350,000 a week now being conservative say 200,000 after tax. X52 = 10million ish a year.

    Or 2 million a week x 52 104million a year.

I font care who you are an extra 270 million pounds over 3 years changes what you can buy.

Takes you from rich, to stupidly rich private yaught/plane wealthy.

He can do what he likes but please God or whoever he really can't try to justify it by saying he needs a ndw 'challenge'.
He should pledge 75% of the extra money tio feed starving childfen in Africa. That's a legacy.

His net worth is £66m, you think he can't maintain his lifestyle on that?

It's all moot anyway because he will never not earn another penny. His sponsorship deals alone will go on after he retires because he will always be in demand for who he is.

But tell me what will change in his life to make it so "life changing" if or when he quadruples his wage.

Comparisons between multi-millionaire footballers and ordinary working folk are generally pointless, imo. However, in this case, the differential could be truly vast so I can see how anyone can be tempted.
For me though, the difference is a cultural one - he'd be closer to home and in the religious milieu he was raised into.
I have no idea whether or not his life in Europe has had any influence on his opinion on the blatant human rights violations of the Saudis, but his home country isn't that far different so maybe he accepts it as justified.

Salah has spoken out about how his views on some things changed when he left his home country as a teenager. He speaks up for women's rights all the time. He openly criticised a national teammate for a sexist comment he made on social media saying that he needed treatment or rehabilitation. So while he is a devout Muslim, he holds different views on some topics to what other Muslims hold.

Last year Salah donated £6.5m to charity. He does have a conscience and a desire to help the less fortunate.

We don’t know what he does with his money. Any one of us could live comfortably with a 1/4 of that for the rest of our lives. But then we probably don’t donate a lot to charities, have foundations back in our home country, have multiple houses across the world which will all need maintaining, have multiple cars, expect to go on multiple holidays flying by private jet or first class every where we go and stay in the best hotels available.

The money being talked about is a whole new level of rich. Just because we think we could easily live comfortably on 50m for the rest of our lives, people that are used to it may not.

A homeless man would prob look at 30k a year and say how the hell does anyone struggle to live on that?

That's good. We are all different and have different values. All I'm asking for is some honesty. If he thinks it's too big a deal to turn down for him and his family he should just say so.

I could keep going on this but it's pointless. We have different world views and personal beliefs and we're unlikely to change them here and that's okay. <ok>

look, if he just wants money then fine.

the issue for me is a man who likes to show off his rippled torso doesn't really fit in with the hard liners in Saudi amd it's be a marriage of convenience to put money back in where he wants to but none of these lads really want to live in unsta le areas after their career so he will.imo be already looking long term at what his final life will be like.

if we were in the cl this season I'd be saying this is a non issue but without that I am even wondering why would he bother stay here when he'd love to go to real madrid.

I don't know how Forbes get the information but it's probably pretty close to accurate seeing as they know annual salaries and amounts of sponsorship deals, imagine rights etc.

Well Forbes call it net worth. I don't know how they calculate it, I just copied what they said as being a fairly reliable source.

Just had a look how Forbes estimate it and they say "net worth is all of your assets, minus the total of all your liabilities".

They explain that they actually contact the people that they list.

Could they be sued for misinformation, I don't know?
