Tend to agree with this. There doesn't seem to be the same mentality and Standards at Utd as there used to be, and ten Hag is still in the process of sorting it out. Whether he'll manage it is a different thing, but I don't think there's a major player there who would Pose him a problem. Rashford was briefly cautioned and got in line. We all wonder about making Fernandes captain, but if it came to a stand-off, I think ten Hag would get the backing. Casemiro probably has the most clout, but he looks to be in line. I don't think any of the others would cause him a leadership problem.
Had heard of him from last 2/3 years since his move from Salzburg to Liepzig as was talked about as being brilliant prospect
OK so if we are indulging this crap. ten hag sorting it out? lol seriously. I've said about 1000 times de gea wasn't good as he was rooted to line and was crap on the ground never mind about the gaffes. what does he do? onana lol. dodgy with a massive chip on shoulder. how about Anthony? the head butting massive ego that plays like a puppy dog running around the ball rather than doing anything with it. or managing somehow to fund real madrid's team rebuild by purchasing an injury prone cb amd a rotund old man who can't run. or buying a midget cb while failing to dispatch Maguire and then compounding it by buying a geriatric Evans. or buying mount and using up budget despite publicly stating the utd tax would not be paid thus ending up with completely unbalanced midfield or making the biggest diving whinger going your captain to stroke his ego? or ending up with the same failed full backs as ogs or actually worse cos they are now injured (not unexpected) yeah... sorting it out.
when Hungary hammered England. Diego can't have it both ways. does he want real fans who watch their team or FM heads who claim to know every player in europe
Reports of £215m offer incoming. Hard to turn that down. I think ideal for everyone is he stays and we agree a deal for next summer in the background. He’s going to be gone in a year or two anyway, we aren’t giving him a new contract at 33 especially not at anywhere near his current wages. Doesn’t really matter if Saudi get him now or next summer as they’re buying him for his name just as much as his ability and that name won’t drop any lower, especially with afcon in January.
yeah agree with that, won’t be anywhere near that sort of price but if we could grab £100m next summer alls well that ends well
Would take a deal in January tbf, or a six month loan. Gives us a chance to get someone else in. Possibly could do a job with the current options bit ideally you'd want someone else as well. Might cost a bit more in January but whoever we buy will cost more anyway as everyone knows how much money we're getting.
It will be good cash to have next summer for a replacement. At least we have the time to consider alternatives and Mo will leave with our best wishes.
Price next summer should still be north of 100m imo. Kane went to Bayern with 1 year left on his contract albeit 1 year younger for 100m. Salah is as good as Kane but also is a superstar name for them.
Not sure replacing Salah is even a high priority with our current options up top. Prob would want a left footed forwsrd just to add a bit of variety but take 200m and go get a first choice CB to replace Matip position in squad and offer proper competition to Konate and Gomez (ideally not someone that’s injured constantly!) or a left footed one who can cover vvd with long term successor.
£215m...? I'd return with .. "We'll take £200m if we keep him until January and you keep the deal secret"
I understand the context of what you're saying but you really should have thought a bit longer before you typed that
I will be a lone voice with this but I wouldn't sell Salah even for £300m. Let him and us honour his contract and then see where we are.
